  • Whats Your C8 Build?

Here is mine in this simple format.

2020 Corvette C8 “base” (non-Z51). Blade Silver Metallic with sky cool gray interior. 2lt trim.

    Cost -------------------------------$67,295

    Additional options:

    Performance exhaust, NPP ---$1,195
    Transparent roof-CC3 -------------$995
    Carbon flash-painted wheels---- $995

    Total estimated MSRP---------$70,480

Love the decision/strategy Chevy came up with for all season tires. AS tires were not available as OEM on my 2014 C7. Not concerned with discoloration of the Sky Cool interior. Have light gray in my C7 and not a mark or stain.
This build is very similar to my 2014 C7.

Are you concerned with the heat coming thru the roof panel? Had a MB with a glass sunroof that was so hot the shade had to be kept closed.

      2LT $67,295
      GMO Rapid Blue $500
      Z51 Z51 Performance Package $5000
      J6F Red Caliper or J6E Yellow $595
Q8Q Carbon Flash Open Spoke Wheels $995
      AH2. GT2 Seats. $1495
E60 Front lift Adjustable Height w/ Memory. $1495

      MSRP $77375

What shade in a C7 ? I had to buy an after market shade for the C7. I agree it’s just hot as hell in the Atlanta area without a shade of some kind. There is no shade on the clear roof panel on a C8. Unless you buy the dual tops.
I keep the panarama roof shade closed in the summer on my F type. Too hot period. 🥵

Not too much. Have the transparent on my C7 and it hasn't been an issue. I'm in MD and it can get hot here. For the most part, especially now with AS tires, I should be OK for all seasons. The other factor is the transparent roof looks sooo sharp on the Blade Silver vs body color!

The other option I considered was the carbon fiber roof but it doesn't cover the area just above the widow and thus looks like a top hat compared to the transparent. Plus I'm saving $1,500 getting transparent instead of the carbon fiber.

Decided on the torch red!! Looks great!! Don't worry about being noticed by those LEOs when you do your routine WOTs.

I've been away. Help me save some research. Tell me briefly what the difference is between the GT1 and GT2 seats. More padding on GT2, more comfortable?

It's my current favorite, since you can't go wrong with TR. I also like ELBM and ZBM.

Option TU7 can get some of the two tone seats with a 2LT (but not others. e.g., not the two tone blue HTO option).

Or maybe the 1LT same configuration. Sleeping on it for now.
My thoughts exactly right down to the color choices by Mike C8. I am going back and forth on the 2LT back to the 1LT. I really do not care for or need the ginger of the 2LT. And even thought of the 1 LT without the Z51 . But if I delete the Z51 PKG I would still get NPP exhaust. So the practical part of me is saying go for the Z51 as in reality it would be just another $3,800. I may not track the car BUT, the resale definitely justifies the $3,800 difference as that will always be retrieved. But I want the transparent roof. It is another black accent to the car and makes more sense at least to me than the carbon fiber top. Not sure wither on the carbon flash wheels. May just get the stock ones as there are cool after market stuff around the corner. This post is typical of what i think we are all feeling. I started out in my first sentence saying " My Thoughts exactly " and within the content of my post I changed everything. Sure hope I can decide by the 12th, possibly the 5th. BUT, with the constraint on the 1 LT I may or may not have more time, lol Right now I am having a hard time trying to decide if I want Chinese or Italian for dinner let alone a car I will keep till the next generation. ,
