It will go up, how much? At least 3 or 4k, regardless of what the economy does short of a full blown recession, which is NOT likely - yet - inmo.

Having stated that - late model corvettes, at least in my experience are one of those rare cars that are usually better to be purchased "new." Is what I mean by that is the secondary market doesn't really move off MSRP all that much, like say an Impala. It isn't worth buying someones "used" Vette w/o what exactly you want, at least not for me. Again I'm pretty frugal, not cheap.

GM does a better job with this car than ANY other line of their's in adjusting production for demand.

That's just my experience, any other GM car buy used or wait for end of year closeout on what they haven't sold.

As to keeping your C7. I think it will be awhile before there are any "discounts" on the mid-engine. I don't see it. GM would first remove their temps on the third shift, who are not employees BTW, so they will adjust production to keep that "sweet spot."

Just what they are getting for an outgoing '19 is an example of what I'm talking about 45-55k - wow! I know the mannheim book is different but who has access to those prices but dealers? Surely not me.

Well, since you used all caps, you must mean what the acronym stands for (and not the obvious answer) and of course that is:

    Chevrolet
    Outstanding
    Research
    Vehicle
    Engineered
    To
    The
    Extreme

When the Z06 can be ordered, many of the "I want it now!" crowd of initial buyers will be putting low mileage LT2 powered cars on the market. Maybe you can scoff up one then, at a bargain price.

Now, if you have a C8 fo sale.........
I believe autotrader has the best pricing for sellers.

    good luck..

i feel a great way to sell your car is by word of mouth. Everyone who see my corvette and tells me how awesome it is...i tell them how much O love this corvette yet I already placed my order for the new rear engined c8...and if they want to buy my car they will ve getting an excellent car and then I tell them the price...

so far everyone or almost everyone gives me their phone number and asks me to call them when my new corvette comes in.

homestly over the past 43 years of buying new cars and selling my own privately ive always sold the car to the first person who comes and sees it..

i tale great care of my cars so they always look and drive like brand new...and I price them five hundred to a thousand under the best price Ive seen for a similar vehicle actually sells for.

some people who sell their cars privately believe in leaving room to negotiate with a buyer and ask for a higher price than they will settle for..

i do the opposite ..i price the preowned car at what price I believe is correct and then list the price at five hundred to a thousand less.

i dont like to waste my time..

its like ringing the dinner bell for the animals at the zoo..

and to quote a movie title..

    gone in sixty seconds.
