  • Should I have a GM Order number?

I placed an order with one of the forums top 3 dealers (won't mention which unless needed) on July 20th.
I was provided an allocation number 454

My questions is, at this point should I have a GM order or is that down the road?
My sales guy told me I likely would not be submitting my build until April/May but that seems a bit far out?

I've read the pinned posts about ordering and they all mention a GM order number that I don't have.
Has this just not happened yet and i'm being impatient?

    Thanks
    Brent

???? Your quoted allocation number tells most what top three dealer it is. You did not place a order number you placed a pre order deposit. Welcome and there are threads to explain the whole ordering process. No it has not happened yet as pricing for options will be released on August 15th. You are good. Just be patient.

Welcome vertical! Great first post. Glad you joined us!

There is no need, nor zero advantage to have your order placed by your dealer right now; you have gone with an excellent, totally trustworthy dealer (all top three are that way), and they will take great care of your order, working with/contacting you much, much closer to when your order will need to be placed. Here are some threads that would be helpful for you if you have not yet read them.

And the other three additional stickies in our purchasing section could also be useful.

Lol, thanks! I was not aware that the allocation would have given it away! I assumed the top 3 would too similar to discern but I guess not.
That thread about what you need to know is actually what had me concerned, wasn't sure if if I should have seen an order number by now but I see that is not the case.
I'm typically a very patient person except when it's something that gets me really excited!

I just sold my 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe 6MT a few weeks ago because I knew the C8 announcement was coming and I've sadly been missing it's supercharged V8 goodness ever since. Super excited I'm on the C8 pre-order list. I think it will make a worthy replacement A little bummed there isn't a manual option but I've also been interested to try DCT.
I'll go back and read all of the pinned threads.

I'm really excited to see what performance options come out for the C8...I'd really love to see someone offer a supercharger for it so I can have the whine back in my life!

        Thanks again!

I'm sure Callaway is working on it.

Is there a place on the forum that says who the top 3 dealers are?? Or can someone tell me? Thanks...

There are a couple of posts with this on the forum but I think they all reference the list from Corvette Blogger found here.

Here is public info on the top fifty dealers. Note however the time period on which this was based, and that the C8 allocation were based on total sales for the last three years.
