  • Help on a part ordering clarification

So I went back to the visualizer on Chevy.com and under the title of exterior accents and a sub heading of side rocker it lists carbon fiber and also just black. Question is this, is the one shown there as black RPO STI with the description of
LPO, Composite rockers, molded in color, Genuine Corvette Accessory
If it said in the order guide black, it would help, I don't know what molded in color means, or on the visualizer have the RPO in the corner of the box.

Also, the visualizer shows a front splitter in black, and I can't find anything like that in the order guide.

I had the exact same thought. In the visualized you can add black or a color molded rocker. However in the order guide you don’t have the option to do the black (which is the one I want)

This could be because the black is reserved for the Z51 package as is the front splitter which is why you can’t find it in the guide to order separately

That might be right, what's confusing is the visualizer allows you to add it without a popup that says requires Z51. Not only that, STI is a free flow option. A white car comes with white rockers, so what IS STI???

I confirmed the my Concierge, that at least for the splash guards, a molded in color means exactly that, e.g., for if you choose a ELB Corvette and you also choose a molded in color ELB splash guard, the backside of the splash guard will be ELB.

Pretty sure (75% but not 100%) that means that one can match a rocker in your color choice, or alternative, choose it to be black or another of the twelve offered colors. We also know that the rocker could be chosen in carbon flash black metallic (as part of the carbon flash painted metallic black ground effects package), or lastly in visible carbon fiber if one choose the visible carbon fiber ground effect package.
2023 Z06: Elkhart Lake Blue, 2-tone blue interior, HTC, Standard Z06 with Z07 aero pkg, CCB’s, 3LZ, E60, every visible carbon fiber option including wheels, Jake Design Pkg. Lifetime, annual contributors, and 25 year NCM members. Home is the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

While on the surface this helps, it kind of makes it worse. If I check the box for STI, how do I pick a color? What is the RPO for carbon flash painted ground effects, the only thing listed in the build guide is carbon fiber ground effects???

Update: I know nothing further at all. I went to the Chevy site and tried the Chat. That was something less than full filling I can tell you that. The person was very nice and all, but really didn't know anything. Ended up questioning my about the order guide like I made it up. I told her it is the latest order guide from GM just updated for the week of 8/5/19. She told me the concierge service is backed up for a few weeks, so getting info is going to be slow and difficult it would seem. Supposedly someone from the concierge side is going to email me. If I can get a concrete answer I will post it.

The Sti is a color matched rocker. These 2 blue cars show the difference. The moving car has STI. The showroom car has standard black. You cannot select a color different than the car color. I have spec-d STI but would rather have them painted carbon flash at delivery to match the mirrors and rear spoiler. I honestly can’t tell which I like better. I like the contrast of the black but the body color looks good too I’m torn

I prefer the black. By reducing the visual thickness of the center section of the car, it emphasizes the "coke bottle" effect to give the design more muscularity. Just my 2 cents.

Does anyone think that: "SPI" (only) can be ordered in the "Carbon Flash-Carbon Fiber"? So far, I don't see if that is doable. I have a Black exterior, ordering the SPI. Was led to believe the standard black is somewhat grayer than actual black. But CF/Carbon Flash would go better with the exterior standard accents.

I do not see it available in the carbon flash or I would have ordered it that way. It looks to match the z51 standard splitter which looks silvery black. Maybe someone can get a closer pic at an upcoming dealer of the rocker and splitter?

I touched base with my dealer yesterday, and he told me I saved time in the ordering by coming straight to the dealer instead of using the visualizer. If anyone is still hoping to get one of the first year cars, I suggest you go right to your dealer and pick out the options with him. Time is getting short.
Torch red 1LT, no options. Built June 4, received July 2
