To Stripe or Not To Stripe

Configuring your order is all about personal tastes. My current 2016 Z06 is Laguna blue with full length silver stripes.
I'm considering stripes on the C8. Rapid blue with light gray stripes.
The C7 forum entries always seemed to enjoy deep set feelings about stripes on Corvettes.
What are your thoughts?

Never been a fan of stripes with rare exceptions. So don't factor in my opinion.

They're most likely vinyl overlay, like on the C7.

NO STRIPES EVER, IMO To me a car with stripes takes the observers eyes to the stripes as opposed to the many fine lines of the car. The C8 is a Euro looking car. A Gentleman's Sports Car. You rarely see stripes on Ferraris or Aston Martins. Stripes are for Camaros, Challengers, Mustangs etc. Not for a C8. in my conservative opinion. Why put a $200 vinyl stripe on a gorgeous paint job??? I don't get it, But then again I do not get Satin finishes either.

You see the stripes on the performance/lightweight versions of Ferraris and Astons. Which usually cost way more than the standard versions.

For a sports car, I want it to look sporty. With a bright color like Torch Red or Millennium Yellow, the color alone is enough to make it stand out. When I'm interested in a cooler or darker color like Elkhart Lake Blue or Shadow Gray, I feel adding white or silver stripes pumps up the aggressiveness. I wouldn't have put stripes on my old blue E46 BMW but for a sports car I like it.

Not a stripe guy here ... they look ok, just not for me
