Just got a call from the dealer, my C8 arrives tomorrow!! I cant wait to see and drive it.

Lucky Dawg! I have all these email congratulations for my recent purchase, confirmation of Sirius XM, confirmation of MyChevrolet app and services. My one month trial for OnStar has already started on March 20, but no car to show for it. The app tells me to "Enjoy your ride." And the fuel level is 10%. And 2 miles on the car. My right front is 3psi lower than the rest.

My original expectation was this week, given the invoicing. As of yesterday morning, it was still awaiting transport. I hope my free trials don't expire before I receive my vehicle.

This is unexpected, but pretty cool:
I have the MyChevrolet app. It is already connected to my car, which (as of yesterday) was still in Bowling Green. I received the 4200 "order shipped" email from Chevrolet today. So I checked the locator in the app (more > Vehicle Locate). My car is presently en route and in Texas!

I picked up all 3 of my previous Vettes in the rain. It is supposed to rain on Friday. Odds of an unbroken streak are looking good. 🤣

On 2/22/23 my status went to 3000. This morning 3/22, I received an email from GM asking for my patience. Does anyone have any idea if there is any pattern to receiving the patience email and an actual change of status. As you can tell, I don't exactly fit into the patient group.

I got the same thing. Not enough data to know if there is a pattern or anything to derive from it. In my particular case -- this is a one note song -- I got received (3000) on 1/25, appreciate on 2/22, next stage (3400) on 2/28. Saying there are 6 days between patience and next stage would be stretching things, especially since the plant is shut down this week. I never received the emails for 4200A (sent to shipper) nor 4800 (arrived at shipper). I received 4200B/C on 3/22, and my car arrived at the dealer on 3/22.

Guessing, I think the "appreciate your patience" is because your car has gone out of guidance. That is: there is an expectation of status change from 3400 to later stages, and your car (and mine) didn't make the cut.

Note that once your car is built and invoiced, your dealer will call you (mail you, email you, etc) to arrange payment. At some other point in the future, your car will actually ship to the dealer, and that's when things start to happen. I suspect - but do not know - that while my car was built on 3/9, it wasn't shipped until 3/22 because they were waiting on enough cars to fill a transport on the path from the plant to the set of dealers expecting cars. Why do I suspect this? Because as I was tracking my car today, the transport stopped several times at smaller towns at the dealership, then continued on. This makes sense. You wouldn't schedule a transport with a 25% load when you could wait a week or two and get 100%. You're paying roughly the same, so economics wins again, and we have to wait.

At the end of the day (week, month, year, decade - take your pick), we end up with our obsession, and we will be happy to have it finally. This ain't my first rodeo. It might be my last.... wait! What am I saying? If I can buy a new Z06 to order, I'll suffer all over again, and smile at the end.
