  • January C8 Allocations Given To Dealers

The DOSP (Dealer Order Submission Process) is this Thursday. We are glad to see that there is a January allocation!

Their allocation numbers are “lighter” than many dealers thought and hoped, yet all I have talked to agree that this is due to three factors, e.g., catching up from the tornado closure plant closure, then making up for/re-building from scratch the 115-122 damaged/destroyed cars, and most recently 1 1/2 days of closure due to the snow storm. All these things contributed to this number while not being poor, were not as much as wished/expected.

But nicely there are more than minimal allocations!!!

Positive news from John. Hopefully for the Criswell List 12/26 and 12/31 are in the stars this time. Would be a great way to start out our New Year.

I just heard about the total lack of allocations at another dealer which traditionally gets them. Hmm.

Yes it is ROCK solid. It is just that there is no source outside of GM who knows what each dealer gets, and it is therefore up to each dealer to choose whether to publicly share it or not. Hence I have only heard from some dealers out of the total currently 2,911 of them.

But 100% rock solid that those dealers who were notified today of their upcoming allocations going in this Thursday’s DOSP will absolutely, positively, 100%, for sure be getting those orders accepted by GM this weekend and GM will be producing those exact C8’s.

This news is as solid as the below rock is large (notice the people lower left).

Given that the CG is well aft of the tipping point, they're safe. But however if the ground/sand were to suddenly settle, then all bets are off. 😯

Just think of the size of the glacier that pushed that monster to its current resting place at the end of the last Ice Age.
                        Save the wave.

That rock is in the land of potentially giant earthquakes, e.g., California.
