Enclosed are C8 quick reference manuals that fit in a 5 ½ X 8 ½ notebook that can be kept in the car
for Quick Reference.
**Print out (Full Size-2 Sided Printing).
**Cut Around Boarder & Punch Holes to fit 5 ½ X 8 ½ Notebook for C8 Glove Box.

• 1- (NORMAL OPERATIONS) MANUAL- Includes quick reference how to operate various systems in the C8 that may not be familiar to a new C8 owner. Also includes C8 car care. Note- Not all systems in the C8 are covered- (Z51 model not covered, etc.)
• 2- (MAINTENANCE & ABNORMALS) MANUAL- Includes quick reference how to perform routine MAINTENANCE and how to deal with ABNORMAL conditions that may occur in the C8.

lasdoug - Thanks so much for doing these! Much easier to find information than digging through the owners manual. Staples had their faux leather binders on sale, so I grabbed one, printed the manuals using heavyweight paper, made the cuts, punched the holes & etc. Now I have a classy looking quick reference manual befitting of the C8.

Newbie question. Who performs all these check sheets, PDI's ??

There are over 1,000 quality control checks at BGA. No C8 is shipped unless they pass every single one. They are then shipped, arrive at the Chevy dealer (or NCM) who performs the PDI checks. Some of these are to specifically insure no issues arose during the transportation process. Others are double checks. GM reimburses the dealerships the cost of the PDI and any warranty work they uncovered during them. As one example, my plastic horizontal trim piece that goes at the base of the door window was damaged during transit. The dealer filed for a replacement one, installed it and billed GM parts and labor for that warranty repair.

Just compared the 2020 PDI form to 2021 PDI in post 4 and found a few changes for those buying 2021 model.
1. Under Interior: Key Fob functions were added 2. Under Exterior: "Removal of transportation cover" was added 3. Under Hood: a. For HTC language was added for rubber covers to be fully seated
b. New Battery Maintenance TSB 22-NA-043 4. Under Final Inspection: Condition and Charge battery was deleted on 2021 PDI form but added a point regarding Product issues. 5. Under Special Inspection Items: Quite a few changes were made on 2021 PDI versus previous version 2020 PDI that everyone getting a 21 C8 should be aware of.

Hope this info helps. I have copied the new 2021 form and will forward to my dealer and request a signed copy for my C8 files upon delivery.

Thank you Heidi. Those differences are notable. We appreciate your taking the time to review and contrast the changes from 2020 to 2021 PDI forms. I like your plan of insuring at some point your dealership Tech has signed it and given you a copy of the 2021 one.

Separately, I was pleased to see that a MECF member’s negative experience with his HTC however resulted in a positive addition to the PDI for all HTC’s. Sorry I can not remember who went through this hell for his own HTC being out of service because this was not checked, but on the positive side it resulted in a GM-wide change, a specific new addition item to be PDI checked on all HTC’s, eg. “Rubber covers to be fully seated” on HTC mechanisms.

Glad to also see as we say in GM TechLink that there is now a specific battery testing procedure included in the PDI. Probably that too was added due to too many C8’s arriving from long transit, perhaps compounded by long on BGA grounds time that allowed too many C8 battery’s to be run down just as the new C8 was handed over to the customer. .

I have found that at times it works really well on my iPad but at other times, guessing when usage patterns are really high, that it does not work more than a nibble — and my best bet when that happens is to come back a few hours later. When the Stingray has just been revealed the only way I could get on at all was setting my alarm for 2:30 AM, logging in then to success every time.

I have the same issue on my work laptop. It won't work at all but my iPhone works great. At first I thought it was my companies network and WiFi but I'm on the same network with my iPhone so it must be some sort of plug in that is missing on some laptops. Mine is an HP.
