  • Greetings! From the Great Green North

Hello all! Kelly (kdlp) here from AK. And if you think it rains in the Pac NW, that’s only because you haven’t been to SE Alaska.

I’ve been a Corvette aficionado since I saw a C2 in 1967. It took me until 1976 before I could buy my first new one (L82 / 4 speed) and more recently I have torn down/rebuilt a 1981 to include a 400 hp small block, 5 speed, flares and 18 inch wheels/tires.

My Z51 coupe is on order and I hope to take delivery late next summer at the museum/plant. I’ll then drive it across Texas to So Cal and then up the west coast to Seattle for shipment to AK. I’m guessing after that many miles I’ll know that C8 very well.

Currently changing up a business trip to accommodate an extra stop in the Tri-Cities, WA in early Feb to see what I think is the only C8 showing in the Pac NW anytime soon. Anyone know which C8 they’ll show?

Want to express my thanks to those who have been posting in this forum. I’ve been reading/learning from you all while I dial my order in. I still have time to tweak the order but at present it stands as:

Coupe, Z51, Mag Ride, 2LT, Arctic White, Red/Black 2 tone, High Wing spoiler, edge red calipers, red engine cover, red Gran Sport type stripes.

Again, thanks for the posts.... it’s a privilege to have a forum without the juvenile trolling/baiting/whining .... I could go on, but then I’d be trolling/baiting/whining....

    kdlp

Am trying to rearrange a business trip so I can make a detour to Pasco that weekend. Will fly in and get a rental car if I can make everything fit.

Im a little surprised that some of the “I-5” dealers aren’t getting on board with GM. I’d think that both Seattle and Portland would be prime areas given the performance cars I see there.

Are you you thinking of any get-togethers there in the Tri-Cities that weekend?
