CONGRATS:1st MECF Winner

Congratulations to our previous five, semi-finalists — who earned their way into the final round of the contest. They were:

Bradd66, meyerweb, Charlie, and Fireeagle, and nightraceZ

They all had rare colors (compared) to all other contest entrees, and thus made it to the final round of our contest.

While some of the five finalists also had extremely rare options, as noted when the contest began, the “official arbiter” for both parts of the contest, would solely be Mike Antonick’s “Corvette Black Book” — which only tallies most (but not all) of the OEM options as to their sold quantity.

Hence, our 1st MECF Contest Winner is “nightraceZ.” His 2013 ZR1, and models/versions did count in the second part of the contest (only), was limited to 471 units, was the rarest option among our five finalists.

Here is nightraceZ’s gorgeous car. I knew this picture before I “met” on a forum, and I always felt this was the one of best pictures of NRB.

My second choice color, though when I saw it on the 2014 National Corvette Caravan, sitting in the sunshine, I thought, maybe I should choose NRB instead. Outstanding color.

A Corvette trivia fact: There was more metallic in 2014 NRB than any previous Corvette color. Whether this is still true, I do not know. Does anyone know whether is still the case?

Thanks guys!! I apologize for my delayed reply, things got busy around here with my business. I think I've mentioned it before but I really don't think I could get rid of this one lol. I don't have much time to drive it but when I do I enjoy it to the fullest extent. I missed out on the entire 7th gen because of this car. But I will have a beautiful midengine to park next to it and have the best of both worlds

BTW, your prize for wining the contest was mailed to you today, and as it was sent from within your state, you could have it tomorrow or in a few days.
