  • Changing display brightness

I use my front camera when pulling into my garage so i can see where to stop. The last couple of days the display goes very dim just as I'm pulling in and I can't see the display for the glare. When I back out it gets bright again. I assume it's going into night mode as it should, but i can't get it to not do that. I changed the default to Day mode only but that didn't matter. Anyone know how i can change the display brightness? also, I don't know why it just started doing this on its own when it didn't do it last week. ??

I think the knob, low on the left side of the dash, by the parking brake button, will do what you want. It adjusts the dash brightness only when the car thinks it's dark enough out to turn on the headlights. So when you back out of the garage into sunlight, the car ignores that setting.

Ah, yes. I'll try that. I just knew there has to be some adjustment someplace and since it's kind of hidden I had forgotten about it. Thanks, I'll give it a shot. ☺

You want dim the display in all cars to about 80-90 percent of full. That way the bulbs or led will last longer
