  • Greetings from the Corvette Passionate...

I am Tux Hadler from Facebook's Simply Corvettes. Thank You for allowing me to join and learn / keep up to date on information surrounding the C8. One of the things I love about the Corvette Community is the wealth of information to be found from the folks who reside in it.

I look forward to learning, laffing, and sharing with you from time to time. Tux... <(") (((WAVING)))

Hi guys and Thank You Both!

        John,
It is part of being a good steward in the Corvette Community. At NCM we call it Ambassador. Although I refer to it a Passion. I am not a Corvette Enthusiast / I am Passionate. It is a relationship with something you love.
        Are you Passionate as well?

Here is a test ---> If your in a relationship with someone which would you prefer?

To have someone walk up from behind to touch your hand and give you a little peck on the cheek enthusiastically...

        Or,,,

Have someone walk to you and embrace you while kissing you like no other passionately...
        Most would say "Passionately"

You see I don't just "like" Corvettes / I LOVE them as well as the history and the folks within the Corvette Community.

        Rick,
I have owned many Corvettes of various colors so it wouldn't be out of the question at all. I currently own an older Tuxedo Black Stingray and recently sold a
Speedway White C5 Roadster. So there are your color choices. A few weeks ago I picked up an bright Red 89 C4 Roadster as a Project Vette for Simply Corvettes... Ahhh, Life Is Good Brother from here East of Indy...

Welcome Tux! Is there a black tie affair around the C8 unveiling we need to prepare for?

See you there, for every year my wife and I drive from Oregon to be at the BASH!. We will be having a special NCM, BASH breakfast for MECF members. We will also invite Stingrayforums (SRF) members to join us — for having been the Exec. Moderator at SRF for five years, easy for me to accurately note how nice those folks are. Already over 100 SRF members have joined MECF, and are welcomed at our joint breakfast!

Tux, I was talking with a friends Karen and Bryce who are the head of NCM activities, about next year’s BASH going to set record attendance due to ME’s there, accompanied, as always, by about 80 top GM Corvette staff there to talk with, mare presentations, and to answer our questions. While Karen and Bryce, with NCM being close to GM, would appropriately not comment on what Corvettes will or will not be at the BASH, they did enthusiastically say, “the more the merrier.” I told them to expect over 3,000 of us enthusiasts next April.

We we gather about and talk about the ME and much more!

John, That sounds great and I will surely attend. Like you I host for Simply Corvettes and guests a Thursday Night Fun Run through the country to Barren River and end up eating at a place outside of Glasgow Rib Lickers. I also host a Friday night dinner at Chuys at 7:00 pm. Come early stay late I reserve the Hubcap Room. Seating is for 100 and it fills up quickly. Hope you can make it to one or both of these!!!

Fun, FUN. Just copied all the above info into my 2019 BASH folder. We do a Friday morning, April 26th* breakfast at Wild Eggs @ 6:29 AM — so we can all eat and be returned to NCM before Friday’s activities begin. It has been well attended the last three years. I will put up a major announcement on the forum inviting all; will go up here in our “Announcements” section during the first week of January.

As to 6:29 AM breakfast starting time, we never let losing sleep interfere with all we enjoy during the BASH.

                  * Date not confirmed, dependent on NCM later officially setting the BASH dates of course.

Awesome... I would love to come to breakfast at Wild Eggs... and of course bring along a few friends if that is acceptable... Yes, Karen & Bryce are in the hub of the planning activities. I will be seeing them at the end of this month at the Anniversary.

                      All are welcome, always!

I know you will enjoy the NCM Anniversary event. Being on the West Coast is terrific, but does make it difficult and expensive to get back to Kentucky as often as would wish. Next year however, , it will be there at least three trips, the BASH, the National Corvette Caravan, and the Buyers Tour for our own ME.
