Hello to all,
My user name ix XZOTKLR.....aka exotic killer. This was the plate for my 575p twin turbo 2005 Nissan 350z. I took great pleasure in killing exotics whenever I encountered them, but never had the opportunity to run against a Corvette. I have been out of the car scene for awhile but the fire STILL burns!!!.... but enough about me.
The C8 Corvette has gotten me so excited that I cant wait to see the production version!!!! Ive been online researching all the specs, interior and anything C8 related. That is how I came to find this forum. LOL LOL Ive already begun to spec out the car in my mind based on what I have learned here and elsewhere.
Im looking for ways to free up cash so I can get in line for what will be the most exciting, radical, powerful and beautiful Corvette yet.
To the Naysayers I say the new Corvette is what Zora would have wanted. The mid engine layout is a logical developmental step and allows GM to further develop the car. The Corvette's front engine design seems to have been maxed out performance wise and while HP is no problem for GM with this car, if you cannot exploit the full potential of the power then it is a waste of time. In order to continue to compete with the top echelon performance vehicles a new mindset had to be developed. I think GM understands that if they did not improve the Corvette it could become irrelevant even amongst the domestic competition. The key to the success of the C8 will be pricing, availability, quick resolution of any tech problems and a positive GM & consumer relationship.
I am an enthusiast that appreciates all things automotive and again I CANNOT WAIT for the new C8
