Hello Everyone, I received an invite to this forum from Corvette Blogger. Thank you so much for the invite! I am very interested in the Mid Engine Corvette and the prospect that it might actually be here in 2020! Oooh Can't wait!
I have loved Corvettes since the 5th grade. Even though my parents said they would not buy me a Matchbox car as they were only for boys, I saved my pennies and bought some anyway; I still have my little Corvette. From the age of five, I helped my dad work on our family cars and was always fascinated with the engines and how they work, and also followed the designs of high end cars. My parents were not into cars at all, but took us to car shows as it was a free event for kids. I developed a real love for the various designs of cars from all time periods. I remembering trying real hard to persuade my dad into buying a new Plymouth Superbird. I even got the salesperson at the dealership to come over and talk to my dad. My dad, of course, was mad and said , "No."
It took a while but one of my toy cars grew up and became my 2002 Z06. I have had my Z06 since 2001 when they first came out; it still makes me smile. I just love the sound of a balanced and full noted American V-8! That rumble is so awesome!
I have other cars and belonged to five car clubs at one time.(2 were for Corvettes) I have been itching for another car but will wait a little longer since the ME Corvette is expected in 2020. Yipee!
I am thrilled to be a part of this forum and love the articles that have been posted. They are excellent! Thank you again for inviting me!
