How To: Start A Poll
* Choose your title. I always start with the word POLL: (and then your poll title).
*Note for title visibility on the right side of the home page, I like to limit my total characters in your title to a max of 30 characteristics.
* Write you introductory sentences explaining your poll’s focus.
* Next, list all the choices that your poll participants can choose (max of ten); it works better to write out all your poll choices in advance.
* Notice to the top left of your thread, some icons, starting with the camera icon. Two icons to its right, is something that looks like an old fashioned bar chart. Click on it, and you will see your poll open. Type in one choice per each line (see below the first three that automatically open up after you have clicked on the bar chart.
Again, you can add more poll choices in addition to the first three (that auto open).
* Unless you have strong feelings to the contrary, my personal recommendation is that you do not click on “make votes visible,” nor on “allow multiple choices,” nor on “set poll timeout.” However, it is your poll, so proceed as you wish.
*Then when you have doubled checked your entire proposed thread, click on “POST.”
Like all threads, you may edit this one once you have posted it, but it is highly recommended that you do not modify/edit it once others have started to vote.
And as always, if you have a question, send a member of the Admin team a PM.
