I had learned of/seen the rear hatch itself two months ago, but keep confidentiality until it the info became separately shown, kept that info to myself. Thank you very much “little birdie!” Developing thread.

i saw the hatch itself about two months ago, but true to a source asking for confidentiality until it publicly surfaced, I.did not share it before now. Thank you very much “little birdie!”

We can now finally put to rest the question of whether the coupe has a flat back glass, and the questions of how do it open (where are its hinges something we can thank Bingaman for figuring out —but which was not confirmed before today), and is there downward access to working in the “engine compartment and the rear deck storage area.

Comparing the C7 and C8, it seems to me the "hood" of the C8 seems very high considering there's no engine under there:

I'd love for there to be a picture of them sitting side by side so that we can compare better. Your last picture is close to that though and so far I like what I'm seeing. The hood of the C8 does look higher, but the cars appear to be more or less the same height.

So nice to see them with C7s. I'm going to use these pictures whenever someone tells me that this car isn't going to be a Corvette and that everyone calling it one is mistaken (yes, it has happened a couple of times).

Am I the only one bothered by the boxiness of that front end? I like the rest and can even tolerate the spoiler but that front end view just kills it for me.

I understand. It is early yet. Front still disguised.

It’s not really boxy. And is not higher than the C7. The center part if the hood starts below the windscreen and follows a similar curve as the 488. It meets at a point above the grill which is the same height as the C7.

BTW... anyone notice the front image with door wide open! Clearly see the scoop overhang and hatch up. ( as noted above).

                        Very cool.

I respectfully dissagree, you can almost draw a rectangle in front to match the lines. Its even more evident compared to other supercars:

But as John says its probably the camo and the fake pannels (if there are any), or maybe its just the splitter, so I remain confident with overall design of the car...

I would describe it as elongated, wide and low, with sharp squared off features rather than sweeping curves like the McLaren so naturally it has a boxier like appearance with all the camo.

The camo does it’s job. Being all one color or two colors broken up, it is hard to see or imagine what the final product will look like.

I feel it will Have a similar appearance to the C7 ZR1 as it was described by Nate.

it has a different Grill structure and details but retains some styling cues such as the pointed nose and wide open maul. How the center portion of the grill is finished will dictate the overall look of the front end. I imagine it could be a colored piece or a blacked out feature with some sort of deflector/splitter.

The grill area looks more like the Lamborghini then the McLaren which some people should like.
