I was at that presentation and saw the video of #1 rolling off the line with Kai saying GM was keeping it. What has changed?

I suspect there will be more than 1 VIN #1. This white one is really pre-production, and IIRC is VIN ending in 50001. The first true production VIN could be 51001.

So someone is going to pay hyped BJackson prices for kind of vin 001. Ok i guess. We will see if Mr Hendrick steps up. To me that will tell the tale.

These auctions offer people like Hendrick a huge tax write-off for making a charitable deduction. So he won't really pay the advertised price. In effect, the rest of us will make up the difference in our taxes.

While that is a possibility, the first production sequence number would be 000001, while VIN 51001 would be the 510001 sequence number.

I saw this car at Hendrick Motorsports today in Charlotte. The white with blue interior and bright finish wheels is stunning.
