  • C8 makes a surprise visit at Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas

While covering the pre-auction at Barrett-Jackson today, I got side-tracked by the appearance of the first pre-production C8 VIN 00001! Took a few pictures of course . One interesting things I discovered, was that the glass separator between the cabin and the engine in the Coupe does not go down, as apparently it can do in the Vert. Here are set 1 of 2 images (just click on an image to see it full size):

Vin # 001 is not loaded? Odd color combo for a collectors item. The camera is not picking up the blue interior correctly. In person it looks sweeeet.

I was going in the hope that there would be a C8 there, thanks Jeff for the confirmation.

Do we know or have reason to believe that this vehicle will be on display for the duration of the show?

        Also where is it located?

        Thank you

No, this 001 may not be sold to the public. It is part of the test fleet for EPA approval, etc. And actually, the 'camera' did pick up the blue correctly, it is very bright in person.

It is at the far end of the staging area where the cars that are not in the Vegas Auction, but in the Scottsdale auction are staged. It should be here through out the auction week.

It's so hard to tell in photos. Might be Arctic White. Jeff can you clarify?

MikeyTX probably meant Ceramic Matrix Gray. It looks white to me.

Looks like a winning combo....thats my second color choice white is just so perfect for this car.

No spoiler...and that interior wheel combo is a winner too.

                          really pops.

only thing that would make me sad is 30 years from now that car or a car like it rolls across the actuon blocks with no miles on it.
