There are many things to like about that video - one is that the Z-Mode button (@3:10) illuminates red when activated.
I had a chance to talk with Kirk briefly at the NCM while I was admiring the LBR C8 he was driving. He's a really nice guy, and was very forthcoming with answers to my questions.
I did ask about the temporary neutral (i.e., both paddles back), and if that would be the preferred way to do a nice white-smoke burn-out in 1st.
He smirked at me, and went on to describe how effective launch control was with the DCT.
FYI - I was also fortunate to be introduced to Tadge and Harlan at the NCM, by one of the big-dogs here at MECF, and after watching those two online for the last 6 years it was a bit like meeting Paul and John. I think Kirk (the Exterior Design Manager for Corvette) would probably equate to George, but then who on the Corvette Team would be Ringo?

Someone asked about the OM at one of the presentations, and the speaker (Tadge, IIRC) said they're working on it now. Available on-line soon I hope. I want to study that pretty thoroughly before I ever pick up my C8. Thats what I did with my C7 and it really helped with familiarity. Let me preplan many of my preferred settings.Originally posted by meyerweb View Post
