That black looks VERY nice, BUT I feel like you kinda get cheated out of the contrast then. Oh boy that blue looks NICE!

Anyone know what those yellow boxes with the red tops are on the dash?? I see them on all the pre-prod. Vettes. TY in advance!

Is that first one Ceramic Matrix Grey? It looks incredible. Also I am noticing that although 3 out of 4 of them have the Z51 wing, I don't believe they are all Z51. If I see correctly, only the Blue had the Z51 brakes and the front splitter. Thoughts on that and if you think they just added the spoiler?

That is the emergency shutoff system that the driver activates in case of an emergency.

I noticed that right off the bat, wonder if they are experimenting with a self driving car or collision avoidance system? If so the blue car that got wrecked isn't working properly.

The emergency switch is primarily to shut down the engine and the fuel system to prevent a fire in a malfunction situation with the test car. After reading several eye witness accounts of the accident the blue C8 was involved in a unavoidable collision with a vehicle who was rear ended and knocked into his path on a very narrow road with no room to steer and avoid the head on collision. I don't think that any accident avoidance system on the C8 could have prevented this accident from occurring.

Now that paints a better picture, I was wondering why there were 3 cars involved. Hope no one was seriously injured.

Has anyone noticed that the mules do not have the Corvette logo on the front of the cars or Corvette across the rear of the car????

Thanks for a clarification. The speculation has been C8 negative. Everybody off to the mischief end. It is improbable for a caravan member to violate protocol .

I based that conclusion on listening to two youtubers describing what happen that was on the scene filming. Based on my 15 years as a cop investigating accidents it looks to me that this could have happen where the Ford Ranger collided with the rear of the car in front of it knocking it into the oncoming C8. The PDR would tell the true story of what happened and you can bet the test driver showed that to the investigating officer at the scene. The accident report should be available for public viewing by the end of the week which could prove up that theory or not.

Yes I've noticed that, and the inconsistencies of Z51 spoilers and the brake calipers unlabelled on some ... others yes ... some not. I'm wondering if the logos will be easily removable as some are wanting to do that? Who knows ... less than two weeks for me to see the cars at Carlisle.
