  • Bridgewater NJ Reveal Photos

Here are some photos from todays reveal in Bridegwater NJ. As not to be redundant I’ll post some detail shots so you have an ideal what the detail is like. Overall the car is AMAZING! The interior fit and finish is top notch. The GT2 seats truly are the best of both worlds as John has mentioned before. I 100% agree. One thing to note is the paint finish, the look and feel is just superb.

Thanks for the close up pics ZoraC2 . I wonder when a rock hits this thing how much antifreeze and what the cost of a new one will be? I'll be designing a wire mesh stainless screen for this opening for sure.

That orange car at Bridgewater is apparently the only car that will be shown on the East Coast. I would like to see a car with fewer optional body panels on it, I would like to get an idea what the basic C8 looks like

What is that toggle switch under the display just above the “Mode” selector?

Zora C2 what outstanding quality pictures you took. Even though I sat in it twice, walked around it many times before, and we all together we have seen close to 500 C8 post-reveal pictures, I learned more from yours. Thank you very much!

There are four toggle switches on the dash, I believe they open and close the vents

These are all pre-production cars (even the show ones we are seeing); might GM have those screens being manufactured now for later installation in every car before they leave the Plant?

If not, the aftermarket will provide; maybe that would be a new business entitled “Frenzy Not, For We Have Your C8 Protective Scoop Screens In Stock.”

I wish the east coast would get more than an orange vehicle. I was under the assumption that two day events like kerbecks would have two cars...but Ive seen only one car. The same color at each location on the east coast.

thamk you for posting such wonderful photographs.

im probably going to see this orange example in a more local chevy dealer a second time.

                this c8 is fabulous...

I assume the rectangular piece (that we can see the bottom edge of) is the electrical touch pad to open the door?

Like everyone else I have been curious exactly how the door opened. Also keep in mind that it isn’t a mechanical feel like you’re pulling a latch. It more like an auto-lift tail gate button covered in rubber. The big difference though is that there is no delay, it just pops the door instantly.

The GT2 seats were exactly as John described, the best of both worlds. Supportive with nice side bolsters that would def hold you when you hit the twisties but also not overly firm or restrictive. You also get the competition look and the carbon fiber is sexy as hell! The leather used is very supple to the touch feels very high quality as does all areas of the interior. The carbon fiber interior bits are also a nice technical touch without being too over the top like some Ferrari’s. You can def take this on a long road trip!

After seeing the carbon fiber interior package I def want to get that option. What i noticed was that its only used in small areas, around the main console, in the door pulls, under your dial. I would say its less carbon collectively then in the dash of the C7. I don’t see this being a super expensive option seeing how little of it is actually used. But then again I could be wrong.

Here are some photos of the engine appearance package for those who are considering this option.
(Not to be confused with the Engine Cover option which they already said won’t be available right away.)
It’s beautiful and a great way to showcase this history making Mid Engine.
It basically wraps all the metal bars in Carbon Fiber and gills to let the air pass through.
The two lights you seen under the open deck lid are also part of the engine appearance pckg.
For sure it makes it look very posh just like a Ferrari or Lamborghini.
