  • Beautiful white c8

Maybe the wheels are a bg factor in the appearance. Most of the examples seen have had the popular "carbon and black wheels. The bright silver wheels really do-it for the Mighty C8. and exemplifies the beauty in the wonderful beast.

I prefer black wheels myself, but that white C8 does look nice

I completely respect each owners choices, but I just don't understand black wheels. To me it just makes any car look cheap and ready for the junkyard. There's no contrast between the tires and wheels and any wheel shape is lost too. I will go to my grave not understanding this. It doesn't look racy either, just looks bad. When I was considering a Grand Sport, I just passed on any car that had black wheels, it was a deal breaker, I wouldn't own the car. They make a ton of them, so I must be wrong, but ugly is in the eye of the beholder.

As the saying goes, wheels are the jewelry of a car, and I prefer shiny jewelry rather than making it harder to see. Then again, on an older car I had some Fuchs alloys with black center and polished lip and I liked those.

The red and the white are amazing looking. I agree with John the white is stunning with the shiney silver wheels.

I have a tendency to agree, To me black wheels, especially in pictures look dirty. On some cars they do look ok, but I am not a big fan of Black wheels and certainly would not pay for that option. Chrome wheels will definitely not go with the C8. You rarely see chrome wheels on a European Car. The C8 just has the Distinctive Euro look .

I found in photos black wheels get lost in the wheel wells...i can only say having had both painted silver wheels, high polished wheels and black wheels...

the most compliments I get from passerby's once installed is the black wheels...

i think I found out one feature all black wheels offer above all else in daily use..if you hit a pothole with the low profile tires or if when parallel parking which over the 20 years of driving into manhattan if on the rare occasion you slightly scrape a wheel against the curb...all black wheels are easy to hide the scrape with touch up paint...

more so for some reason the silver painted wheels or high polished rims...or even the dark gray rims...

ive had them all..all black is the easiest and simplest to touch up...

in real life the all black does look pretty slick to passerby's...

i never used to like all black until i saw them in real life where the wheel does show up much more so than in most photos.

I do think on the white the silver wheels offer a very nice contrast too especially with the five polished spears or spokes...

I agree with this statement unless the passerby is me. I just think they look horrible, no exceptions. I think it comes from a childhood seeing a junk car driving around with no hub caps and painted black stamped steel wheels. Ready for the junkyard look to me. Now one of my car guy buddies and I just call them junkyard wheels in conversation and the other knows he is referring to black.

I guess I'm a traditionalist. When I was young, European performance cars had magnesium or aluminum wheels in natural gray or silver, and that's what I still prefer. While the contrast of black wheels against some paint colors looks good, I feel that even in real life they disappear if you're more than 6 or 8 feet from the car, and the wheel opening looks like solid black void. The pewter wheel looks interesting, but I'm not going to pay GM for a second set of wheels. I they were a factory option I'd look a them more closely. To each his own though. If black wheels float your boat, go for it.

As harsh as I sounded, I do agree with this statement, thankfully we all don't like exactly the same thing, I can't imagine how boring life would be.

I believe this is the ceramic matrix gray, look at the remainder of the photos and the video associated.

I kinda thought that [ceramic matrix gray] too in reference to the 12 C8 color options. But to my plain old 1941 eyes, it's plain old "White". Put it next to the "other" white and there is probably, surely difference. Standing alone, White.

The wheel color choices are limited to Silver, Grays and Black. The paint color choices are broad. Some of the paint colors are not complimented by Silver, Gray, or Black. Wheel colors choices should match the body colors. That would be strange for 6 months. But would be the natural order of things after the adjustment period.

Metallic reds, pinks, yellows, blues, browns etc. that are tinted, glossed or deeply hued to complement the over all color scheme. Options to match or tastefully contrast the color of the car.

If I was going to have black wheels the carbon flash would make it better. Really like the carbon flash accents on the C7 and C8. Silver on that white car looks great thought.
