Stickied, and for the first few days this thread will be also featured as a slider. This thread will be where all C8 Z06, Zora, and C8.R renderings will be placed. While new ones will be featured in their own thread for a few days, they will be moved here so this is one placed where we have all. Anyone remembering a rendering done before this thread was started, please copy and re-post it here. Thank you!

    Here’s a starter Z06 rendering.

Here could be C8 Z06 GM renderings. They came from the livestream video. Might it predict, at least somewhat, the C8 Z06? Or was this earlier thinking for the C8 Stingray — but the spoiler the extra ducts and vents all now be “past history?”

Correct me if I'm wrong anyone but I've been looking at the panel lines for the new car. One reason.....The quarters, fenders, and bumpers are changed on the Z06 model since the C6. It's basically an R&R of those panels. What hasn't changed is the door.....EVER. Therefore, the lines on the door as they currently flow should flow the same way. All of this has a bearing on what the side vent's could look like as they would have to flow into the body moulding below the door and the panel lines of the panels they are replacing. Am I right?

PS: John, good pickup on the clay model in the windtunnel. I was thinking that was an active aero spoiler in the rear deck conveniently taking up the location of the golf bag storage

This is a Chevy reveal picture of the C8R which should give us some good clues on what the Z car will look like.

I like that render-and looks like it still fits the 2 things in the trunk-what were they again.....

i thinks my my wife will not understand why the hood has a hole in it but I like it-if I never tell her about the base frunk she will never know what she is missing.....OMG and less stuff to buy

Thats is a win-win for sure.

I'd like to see a unified tail/spoiler similar to this if active aero is not an option. This design would/should give the same performance being the same spoiler position, size and angles remain. Simply enclosing it similar to the 458 Italia.

            Also adjusted a few details.

Maybe that will be the higher performance versions instead of a wider body.

the c8 is already 2.2 inches wider than the c7 stingray..

at a certain point any car can get too wide.

i dig your iteration of possible designs

(edit) the corvette engineering design team says the air that flows under the current c8 rear spoiler is where the maximum aero improvement comes from. I dig ducktail rear spoilers looks but im pretty much ok with what gm did with the final c8 rear spoiler.

i didnt like the looks of the weird looking test mules rear spoilers but the final product rear spoiler in body color as shown at the 7/18/19 reveal looks good to me.

And the 488 Pista is 1.66 wider than c8. The that is . 8 wider per side. Hardly worth retooling. Slap some spats on and your good to go!

Nice thread. I'm completely fine with losing the frunk to a large, cool-looking vent; I am not overly interested in cargo capacity. I wonder if they could connect that vent to the vents behind the license plate to create additional downforce.

Very cool idea. I also like the side scoops without the extra blade on the front. But I suspect making that a separate piece saves GM a lot of money in finishing the primary panels.

Where did you see that? I read somewhere (but doubt I can find it again) that most of the downforce comes from the center section.

Not sure if posted elsewhere or where to put this but... here is a split window design they were toying with...

BTW... I am working on a re-body / second generation version that would include the unified tail above.

The rumors are that the wider version will not be the 3” wider as occurred during the C7 gen, but instead half of that, or even less than half by far. Of course, we yet do not have any definitive info that there would even be a wide C8 version at all.
