  • Nice video clips of Red C8 - Great Stance / Sound

Thanks to Tennis & Golf Nut for posting this on the other forum. IMO, these video clips really show how awesome the C8's stance and appearance is rolling down the road... and the sound is great too!

The LT2 sounds great, really love the crackles when the RPMs are dropping. The sound in the cabin must be amazing with the engine right behind you

Great shots of the red Vette, thanks for posting. At 2:02 you can see the *standard* front end lift system in operation -- mash the throttle!

That is one b****in' looking automobile. And looking at the back end in sunlight, rather than the very directional overhead lighting at the reveal, it looks a whole lot better to me.

I don't think it looks like a Ferrari, as some complainers say, but it definitely has those exotic car proportions and stance. Maybe it's time for another red car. Take the Corvette and Stingray badges off the back, and people will probably be complementing me on my "Ferrari."

Now that I've watched it again on a bigger screen, noticed that the red Vette has a Z51 rear spoiler but no front splitter. Maybe they install those later so staff won't accidentally run into curbs with them?

On the C7, the side skirts are installed at the dealer. Probably the splitter, too, but not positive.

Sounds reasonable, helps prevent possible damage in transport I guess. Also noticed that the badge on the hood was missing, maybe for similar reasons. Or maybe it's installed just before the car is shipped.

Man, in that first segment with the red Vette slowly rolling by, that 3LT fully-dipped Natural interior looks great! Too bad my budget won't extend that far.

Pretty much the same sounds in the C7, and GM did all it could do to eliminate sound in the cabin as it should. It has been stated that the sound comes around you through the windows if open , not behind you

easy enough to remove sound deadening.

So when the car goes up into and back out of the transporter, the splitter is not destroyed; ergo the splitter is installed during the PDI.

Is it fair to say that the front corvette emblem is removable (debadge) and not indented into the bumper? Most of the test C8's I see do not have the front emblem on.

I believe you are right. I debadge as much as I can, but on the C8, having seen the front with and without the front V emblem, I would leave it. However, for me, the Corvette letters on the rear will be gone in the first 30 minutes, the ole GooGone and dental floss process.

Remember when drag race cars would have the front end raised up to assist weight transfer to the rear tires? I wonder if the same applies here? Will the C8 launch better with the optional front lift activated?
                            I’m goin’ driving 👍
