Rear deck scoops?

  • Rear deck scoops?

Anyone know what to make of this overhead view with the extra intake scoops on the deck?

The engine is dressed differently but it doesn't appear to be a twin turbo since there aren't overhead air/water intercoolers like on the LT7 CAD pic. Without a rear spoiler it also seems unlikely to be a Grand Sport.

Maybe an earlier design that didn't make the cut? If so then we may see similar deck scoops on later variants.

Most likely it was or is an Artist rendering that was from Pre Launch and has no significance to an actual build

I think you'll see some extra vents employed when they reveal the Z06 version for the extra cooling it will require. Plenty of extra room in there for Turbos and Supercharger. if you look at the side profile the Motor sits very low in the chassis. It tops out right around the height of the crease down the side of the car.

Another thing you notice with this drawing is the "stingray" influence to the very fluid and tapered shapes that make up the dash.

Good eye for those stingray inspired shapes. I really dig the interior. Never thought I'd say that about a GM product but IMO they outdid themselves on this one.

On a funnier note, I've already seen a few boomers complain that the touchscreen display is too big.

Maybe, but it does have the interior right.
