  • Could this be close to Adrenaline Yellow Metallic

I think this is the one color still not leaked, I personally think this could be close. Its still a bright yellow but has a metal flake in it. I think the C8 will look insane this color

Anyone have any thoughts or other info to add?

Yellow is always a fun color...i have no information on the c8 yet a metallic yellow does sound awesome. I wont choose yellow yet I do admire.

We had a yellow Corvette back in the '70's..... I didn't consult my wife on the color when I bought it. We've had more than a dozen new Corvettes since and not one has been yellow. Yeah, I really like it, but that color is not 'on the table' unless I can find another garage to store it in....

I envy those that I see on the road.

My artist wife who has not seen AYM but has heard it has some green in it, suggests that this beautiful yellow is not it, e.g., lack of green. [But it could be our computer’s monitor accuracy.]

We would absolutely get that color if that is what it turns out to be.

I like your renaming of Accelerate Yellow Metallic.

Richrat, that yellow looks good. But was that shot under artificial light or outdoors?

John, your wife's description of it having more green in it is concerning. To me that leads towards a yellow which is "weaker" or more diluted in appearance. I really, really hope we'll see an example at the reveal, even if it's only under spotlights (which can distort perception).

Artificial light, not my pic. I was just hoping this could be close, I think it would look amazing outside where the metallic flake would really pop.

If wanting to get somewhat close to ACY, go to a Chevy dealer that has a 2019 Bolt or a 2019 Camaro in SHOCK (yes, that is their name for that yellow green). Even more disconcerting is that aftermarket paint companies refer to it as a “green” — not even as a yellow.

I love beautiful yellow cars, but I am afraid not happening for me personally until 2021 when I believe they would be replacing ACY for even poorer than usual yellow Corvette sales.

But I have been wrong so many times since I was a teenager (when I was then infallible). Hopefully a really nice yellow will return for my C8 Z06.

Still the best yellow on a Corvette in my opinion. I hope it's closer to this than that greenish yellow.

I totally agree Brad. I was one of many who asked Tadge at the 2018 Bash to please bring back Millennium yellow. I am sure your hand was raised too.

Wow John, your saying you think its going to look like this color? Oh my....Not good. I guess I'm getting Sebring Orange or Torch Red depending on which color will be available first.

Yeah, I've seen that, and I'd have to think long and hard before choosing that color for my Vette. And I'm a "bright color" sort of person.

But to me it appears that Shock is not really a metallic color, nor does GM refer to it as Shock Metallic. So I'll cling to that in faint hope that AYM will be completely different.

That's what is throwing me off, I know this color as is is not metallic? I want a bright metallic yellow like the one I posted, not this ugly yellow highlighter color. YUK!
