  • Look Who’s Admiring the C8

A $350,000+ Ferrari Pista just stopped by to gather a look at our C8. Picture thanks to Corvette_Nut.

Which reminds me of a Cars-n-Coffee experience, immediately after I got our C7 Z06. I was there early and parked, when a gorgeous red Ferrari 458 came in. It slowed down, and then I saw a lady jump out and run over to my car. She asked my permission if she could take a picture of it. I said sure, and took a picture of her in her Ferrari shirt taking a picture of my little ole Z06. I will see if I can now find and post that picture. Her husband left her with me and went off to park their car.

    Ah, found it...

The C7 definitely compares with these cars look wise. Seeing how the C8 will probably be a step up, it would easily be passed off as a car that looks like it's worth 200-300k. I can't wait to see the ZR1 (or whatever they call it) model.

Where was this C8 spotted? Seems odd just sitting in front of a gated house entryway?

Good question Ateupjoe, but so far no answer. You are the second person who has asked that question in the last few hours. I even asked the ap Tineye and it responded that it had scanned 36,900,000,000 pictures and did not find it.

Yeh, the C7 is as impressive as any Ferrari to most, maybe not a Ferrari owner, but in this case his wife for sure. I go to car shows with my friend who has a Red 430 Ferrari. It really ****es him off when our cars are parked side by side and people take pictures of my 2019 Red C7 and not his car. And, he is constantly working on that car. He is fortunate enough to be inclined to do so and not at the mercy of a Ferrari mechanic or Dealership. I remember when I bought one of the first Acura NSXs in the early 80s and they were dubbed " The Ferrari That Would Run" I think that may be a good title for the New Gen C8 Corvette. I know every Ferrari owner I know are looking at this C8 very closely.

I think another reason many gravitate to the Corvette even in the presence of a Ferrari is that they know it is attainable or within reach; whereas the Ferrari for most is a distant dream.

Yeah nice body in the picture. Both....makes the wait easier I guess. Cars and coffee are not my thing so I don’t see a lot of Ferrari’s in the Atlanta area. Those shows tend to attract a look at me crowd from my limited experience. I like to walk around and look at others cars ....not sit by mine and see who’s looking at it.

That photo is def. Germany. Architecture of the building behind it , block pavers and kerbing. Plate on Ferrari.

Same reason why it doesn't seem to generate much animosity by fellow drivers in traffic. They know it could be them.

Wonder how the C8 will change that?
