I'm struggling to find pictures of a produced BS C8 out in the wild. Can anyone point me to one? I looked in the Blade Silver thread and only the config pictures are out there. Considering Blade Silver this time around with black mirrors, wheels, etc.

We just have not seen any so far. Thanks for asking, and we will now be on the look out for them. Anyone who finds such pictures, please however also post them in this thread:

Thank you. There will be silver ones seen and photographed before the ordering starts.

            Nice find!

Plus it has body colored vents! I'm 50/50 on the vents, I like them both ways. This is going to be a tough one to decide.

That's great, I've been waiting to see the body colored trim ever since the Visualizer went online, so thanks very much for finding and posting these!

I like the way it cleans up the lines of the car, although I prefer the thin black rocker piece to emphasize the "coke bottle" shape. Fortunately GM added options to build exactly that combination!

Edit: Also, it's a 1LT trim -- no roof mounted camera for the rear view mirror.

Edit 2: Also, another example of debadging -- no emblem on the front, no stingray on the rear deck, no Corvette lettering on the tail.

I think the black vents is a nice accent. This is the car in another post where a question was asked concerning the roof panels. The question was from another member, whose name eludes me at present, was about the perimeter of these roof panels not having the same color as the car.?? Are the roof panels a solid Carbon fiber?? or ?? Most likely not the clear ones as the perimeters are painted as the car. OR, possibly a one of prototype part??

Yeah, I think they look cool on the white and maybe even the AYM since they're a sharp contrast and "pop". They're fine on darker colors where the trim sorta blends in. Even on Elkhart Lake Blue they match decently. But on the in-between middle-range colors, Torch Red and Sebring Orange, personally I feel they're a distraction. And guess which color I'm interested in.

Each to their own. I'm sure there will be plenty of red C8's on the road with the black side vent trim, so maybe mine will look different in a "can't quite put my finger on it" kind of way.

I tend to agree the blade side spear on torch red is a distraction or some would say a screamer...but sometimes having a sports car thats slightly loud in color or black accents is kind of fun.

sort of like if your going to scream....screaming loud is kind of fun.

in person I believe the metallic sparkling nature of the blade silver is greater than what we are seeing in these photographs...

having just seen a blade silver c7 z06 convertible the other day at a corvette club meet the blade silver is an extremely sophisticated look creating an elegant look...

this one I saw did have the red interior as well and it was in my opinion quite beautiful.

The only issue I see doing the same color side blades it doesn’t break up the car. This is a very long car and the different color side blade breaks it up. I would need to see it in person. The head designer of the Audi R8 made the side blades different colors with one being carbon fiber to break up the car.

I loved the blades on the original R8. The design was great and really made a statement.
And thanks to one of your earlier posts, I learned that they even had a functional purpose too (access). Nice!

Due to all of the reveal cars having a contrasting scoop blade trim (e.g. black), I did not realize that night that the C8 is significantly longer (5.4”) than the C7. To accommodate the trunk, that became a necessity. We sure commented a lot about its rear deck length during the 2 years before the reveal.

As Fasttoys noted, the contrasting blade trim visually shortens the car. I was after the reveal able to see this myself by using the configurator, everything identical except contrasting blade trim or not, printing both pictures and holding them one above the other.

While friend Buzz is going with the monochromatic look, I am definitively getting the side scoop blade in carbon flash metallic.

Thanks for showing us a real world example....this looks like a fighter jet. So cool. But I’m kind of ticked off at GM. So many colors look great to me. Red, gray, silver, blue. Smh. :-)

Having the same problem. In the last five days we have picked five different colors for mine. The first two days I sent off and bought two of the medallion coins for each “for sure” color LOL. Since, I got smarter and will now buy more until I submit my order for first consensus. But what color ours will be is still unknown???
