  • C8 Corvette Challenged in Traffic

“It was bound to happen,” says the infamous Corvette_Nut regarding this new video of a C8 Corvette prototype in the wild.

Watch this cringe-worthy video of a dude who sees a C8 Corvette prototype and attempts a reaction by throwing revs and chirping the tires in traffic.

Thanks Corvette Blogger. Myself I get tired of the idiots challenging me in my C7. I had one in a Mustang do it a few months back in front of a cop at a stop light. I saw the cop , he didn't. I sat there reving my motor as though the challenge was accepted. When the light turned green he took off like a rocket and so did the cop after him. I started as normal. I just passed the idiot and waved. as he was getting pulled over, Hope he got a ticket. And in this video the driver of the challenging car most likely had the same mentality paying attention to the C8 and not the road.Endangering others around him. Wish he got a ticket as well. I have a word in mind that will doubtless be cut by the censor. Starts with a M and rhymes with Boron.

What is that black intake just behind the passenger window on top of the rear quarter?

And I thought we only have these idiots [all over] in Florida.
They call you names, harass you, try to run you off the road, when you ignore them.
Once a Raptor pickup truck was so mad, because I'd not race him that tried to him my car by cutting me off.

Thanks Bikerjulio and Zrocks I am in Florida but those idiots do exist all over. Hey, I don't have to go fast . I got a Vette and not a Mustang ( Thank God). I don't have to impress anyone with speed. I impress with style and personally I enjoy the rumble of the exhaust over speed. I have not had a moving violation in 32 years and me and my insurance agent like that . I have too many cars to insure and getting moving violations would put me out of the toy car hobby with increased Insurance Premiums.

If you're insured by S&W, that could also be as a viable option...

And don't forget, same idiot caught and released the video too.

I'd love to see GM's reaction if the driver of the C8 actually decided to race this guy lol.

Not gonna happen. "Test" operators must follow a VERY restrict guidelines based on "test rules" that were created for them before they step into a plane or car or boat and etc. Everything being recorded, even video of of them in the vessel.

See it is a fine word to describe a certain type of behavior, and our computer word sensor is fine with it. The computer said, “if it fits, it sticks.”

Frenzy36, that is a darn good question. I sure have no idea.
