  • Exciting New C8 Rendering By ZoraC2

I love it when new artists enter into rendering the C8 field, though ZoraC2 has had two really nice earlier Corvette ME versions. This one he noted is his most studied, refined drawing to date.

It is FUN! Thanks ZoraC2 for a great job you did!

This is General Motors speaking, and “Mr P-Tree, we are working as fast as we can, and will happily trade you a C8 of your choice for your money soonest possible.”

I normally do not want a white Corvette though this one could be exactly what later lives in my garage. Super rendering.

Very nice. I cant see that wing growing on me though, just looks wierd to me... especially from the back.

With you USVTRN, but like all if what we have yet seen is a total fake out, and there is something very different in our new future, we could all change our minds.

I am also excited that ACS Composite is already mentally envisioning some spoiler options. They plan to start the next drawing phase as soon as they see the official GM C8 pictures (which if like the C7’s press release timing, were over 50 in number and out the very night of the reveal).

We will have options, one of which could well be a so far, totally secretive, GM dealer installed spoiler option — just like there was for the C7.

I said i would not be back here but I feel the need to state to you all that this is by far the most accurate render to the actual car. I will only check in if i see something of significance posted. This should be placed as the banner on this site.

                        Thanks again for your input!

Frankly, I don’t see much "overall" difference between this rendering and Chas‘s or my own for that matter. It is a nice clean rendering and gives a decent impression of the overall car. It is a well executed rendering but not 100% accurate to the shapes on the camo cars.

IMO this rendering does not get some of the body lines exactly right including the shape of the headlights, taillights and side window which are all slightly off. The rocker area indoor body cove does not coke bottle has the camo car shows. The hood lines and fender creases are also absent and would be a strong defining characteristic of the car.

In a different thread while we were discussing the side scoop, you were very emphatic that the scoop was shaped identically to the viper scoop. And that the lower half was black carbon fiber along with the rocker

If you recall, I did several versions of the rendering to show this. This new rendering does not show a viper shaped scoop and is actually shaped more like a rendering I did a long while back.

I do not know whether you have seen the car personally or not, and I am not doubting your word, but according to other eyewitnesses the scoop is much more angular and hard edged.

Maybe there are different versions? Maybe people are miss remembering or misinterpreting what they saw or heard. Being that all this is just for fun and to pass the time until the actual reveal - no harm foul. confused...

Again, Very nice rendering from Zora C2 !

This render looks awesome in all ways imaginable! And I'm also noticing that side scoop looks very similar to the original Car & Drivers renders from way back.

Looks great --- notice the side scoop is the rear quarter window shape tilted clockwise.
