Don't let the size fool you. Reportedly that camoed mule is equipped with a F414 gas turbine engine. Performance data is classified.

Looks like we have a new wheel style also ... at least tires should be less expensive!

Kia Spande is the # 1 person within all of GM to be our BGA Plant Manager. As the picture shows, he is like-able and has fun with his employees, and here is part of another fund raiser with them to benefit those who are in need in the Bowling Green area, e.g., such as United Way of Southern Kentucky, Boys and Girls Club of Bowling Green, and the Governor's Scholars Program (among many)

Kai has 30 years of progressive experience first as an engineer, then over time rising to Plant Manager. Most important he is smart, involves his employees in day to day Plant input and improvements. Before GM brought him over from Europe to become BGA Mgr., he was completing a $1,400,000,000 plant upgrade over there.

Moreover, he is a gearhead himself from way back, personally restoring/rebuilding his C2 while in his 20’s. His career with GM has been primarily in “powertrain.” He is the reason why GM has put $100M into the massive expansion of the Powertrain Build Center within the Plant, and why the Engine Build Option was expanded there, as well as the Cadillac Blackwing program being started within the Plant,, as well as more new to BGA engine assembly programs, e.g., building the LT4 and the LT5.

I am fortunate to know Kai fairly well, and as long as he is the BGA Plant Manager, I will be smiling about its leadership. I just hope that BGA leaves him there for the remainder of his career, not taking him away to fill a more urgent (in their mind) need.

Yes sir, and he will go down as a Corvette legend by the time he ends his time in BG. His commitment to improved quality is second to none, as his is commitment to the employees and community as a whole. I wrote an article for corvetteblogger.com that will be posted soon giving details of what he was doing here. For now, I'll just say he was leading the charge in raising money for the American Cancer Society. I wouldn't want anyone else in charge of overseeing the build of my next Corvette.

Check out my tongue-in-cheek article at CorvetteBlogger.com - https://www.corvetteblogger.com/2019...for-life-walk/ There's a link at the end of the article whereby you can make a donation to the American Cancer Society on behalf of the Corvette Plant. I'm personally donating and hope many will consider doing so as well. Thanks, everyone!

I'm glad to see the Corvette folks are having fun with the whole camo thing. Shows that the team is happy with what they're doing.

I think I'll paint my C7 in Camo. It may keep some guessing?
