Nice Chaz ... that blue is cool looking. It would be neat if they did a color similar to "Nassau blue". I might have to reconsider having a metallic color for my C8, if they did offer it.

Thanks again Chaz. It's interesting to speculate as to how the rear opens. One possibility is that the same cut lines as the coupe are used at the sides and rear, and the whole deck hinges back at the rear.

Another one is that there is a small trunk opening, a bit like the current convertible. It could be incorporated in the deck, or separate with only the first portion of the deck opening up.

I'm hoping the reveal includes the convertible.

I think it could still hinge on the front, it'd be a shame to not have access to the rear storage compartment. It could scissor open, the HT cover opening, then the whole thing opening.

Yes, but without an engine, just imagine how many golf bags would fit in there!!!

The problem with that deck idea is that the buttress section has to be "up" in order to open the deck. I still think that the trunk lid could/should be separate.

One idea is that the trunk lid is hinged as it is now on a C7, and the rest of the deck/buttress section hinges from it's rear, just in front of the trunk lid hinge.

Will we or won’t we be able to see the motor on the HT Spyder when the back deck/lid is closed? Inquiring minds want to know.

I believe that a protective roof storage tray will fit over the engine. This will help preserve the roof paint finish and reduce the heat transfer. The tray would be removable for access to the engine, but the engine would not normally be visible.

Alternatively, we have been told that the roof will fold and stow vertically in front of the engine. This would permit a window onto the engine, but I just have doubts as to whether there is space to do it.
