I had an interesting 1 to 1 conversation with Phil Minch, GM 30 year high performance engineer, and who is Tadge’s acting when he is out of the office. This was in April, 2013 at the NCM BASH. Phil was saying that one Corvette trademark for the front of the C7 that they felt it needed, and we were literally standing at the front corner of the car, is “a piece of jewelry.” As he was saying that, he put his hand onto the driver’s side headlight. Then he added, that, “there is nothing else that qualifies on the front of the car as that jewelry other than its headlights.” Certainly the C7’s lights were a far improvement visually from the C6’s.

      Picture thanks to CorvetteMods.

The way he said that, I am thinking with the same design team in place for the C8, that they are envisioning the headlights for the C8 to again be that “piece of jewelry.”

Updated Chazcron front quarter rendering, with changed to C8 probable wheel.

Someone griped about the wheel in the other thread, so I kept the existing wheel. At least it is different than the other in some way. I'd really like feedback on the headlight. I hadn't noticed the visible bit before and believe the front part of this could be fairly accurate.

Chazcron is certainly talented! Really appreciate his efforts. On the headlight, didn't one of the spy photo show a lower light-pipe (LED strip, whatever) as well as the upper one?

Chaz earlier thought they was also a lower LED headlight strip, but more recent high res spy photos show there is not one (assuming of course as we now believe, that the latest mules have the production headlights and tail lights).

Not sure I like the black plastic piece at the back of the headlight. But we'll see what it will really look like eventually.
