With the threatening sky in this video, I would have been home in the garage. But, that's just me.

Maybe it is loaded with the hail resistance option. ha!ha!

Seems kind of silly to have that ZR1 try to keep people from recording the cars, considering all the video and still pics of them parked at McDonalds, going through the drive-thru, etc., etc., etc.

I totally agree Bob, and not only silly, but also potentially dangerous and also expensive. Same with having the security details at every motel each night.

Why do they not just reveal the car early as Joachim De Nysschen said about Cadillac intentions to do that (to further refine aero which requires no camo), with customersunderstanding that by revealing it earlier, it would be longer amount of time until the actual starts production.

Just come out with the car say next month, then announce, “becuase we are revealing it early, as we need to do further testing without its camo, unlike the typical 8 months between reveal and production, it will be one year. And then every two week period after the first reveal, announce one more spec of the car to keep interest high. Have that “factoid reveal” be at an announced time and place, internet accessible, so us Corvette crazies tune in every two weeks, says Wednesdays at 10:00 (CST) at this web site, for another episode of “This Is Your ME.”

One week could be a close up of the dash, then a 45 second video of how it is configurable; then two weeks later do the same about the HT top opening-and-closing; then two weeks after that present and explain the DCT, etc., etc.

Agreed - talk about hiding in plain sight! And to the points above, Sure, why not have your flagship sportscar flank your top secret sportscar?! As if you weren't already screaming "LOOK AT ME!!"

I agree Fasttoys, the ME does look wide compared to the ZR1. I will go hunt into my 400+ ME pictures and see if I can find any more that helps us see relative width.

Okay, found one picture which could help (but as always picture perspective is crucial). The ME sure looks a mile wider than the Porsche.

When he drove beside the ME it looked like brake lights lit up quite a ways in front of the rear. Seems they have a thick layer of false body work on the rear.

I agree. We have no idea how thick that rear camo is, and for sure we all hope that the rear looks nicely proportional when it is fully revealed. At the same time, we all have become, over 65 years, conditioned to seeing our Corvettes with a long front deck, and a short rear one — so we are going to need to do a “visual jump-shift.”

When we see it, I believe it will look right IMO! Three individuals who have seen the car without any of its camo, independently came away saying it looks, quoting their own one-word descriptors, it is “superlative”; “gorgeous”; “outstanding.”
