The car I photographed this morning had not been washed yet but in person the car does not look as Red as your top photo. I shot a video as well that John and company are working on to post later today. You can really see the color variance as I walk around the car. You really have to experience this color first hand to see the fire in the paint that is so hard to capture with a camera.

Dark wheels do not complement the light reflection of the paint. Bright wheels complement the reflectiveness of paint. IMO.

Darkness in the wheel color makes the paint look matte. Even if the paint is shiny , black wheels make the illusion of matte. IMO.

Never again, so we picked a C8 color that looks equally as good in the shade.

I have dark tinted wheels going on mine, but they aren't paint or powder, they are tinted black that you can see the bare aluminum wheel thru the tint black clear. They reflect light nicely. Will see next week.

I agree with you!!! That's almost my spec, but I have 2 tone Napa/black.

The top photo looks great with a lot sparkle, the bottom looks flatter. seems like every time someone posts a photo I go on a rollercoaster as to whether this will have been a great choice or waste of money given how good torch red looks on the C8.

455SDguy Was the car sitting on concrete or blacktop? The surface looks light unless it is concrete and that's a big area for concrete.

That's my baby!! She due to be born the week of 1/18. I really struggled with the interior options and finally decided on this. It will match up with the calipers and I wanted two tones on the dash and interior to give perspective and to show the lines.

I belief it will work!!

I ran some numbers after the November allocation. Using the order tracking data on the Kerbeck, MacMulkin, and Van Bortel websites, 17% of the orders were Red Mist. I did the same later for the December allocation and 20% were Red Mist. I think the real question is whether Red Mist will trend higher over time.

I appreciate the pictures and the video. Thank you very much. My setup is almost identical except that I ordered body color accents as well. I like the sculpture of the car and wanted people to focus on all the lines in the natural sheet metal. I wish Chevy had a chrome wheel option like the C7 had. The dark Trident Grey wheels are the best alternative of the wheel options IMO, but there are better wheels for this color.

Thank you. I am wondering if the percentage of customers choosing Red Mist grew from November to December as more examples were shown in pictures and videos. I can tell you that the percentage continues to creep upward at least as far as the assembly line is concerned (of course more accurate than looking at a few dealerships). I wonder when Harlan shares at the April NCM bash what the percentage will be then. Today’s pictures and video will further increase customers choosing it in my opinion.
