  • More Blade Silver

Since my Kansas City Chiefs played Monday, we went for a Sunday drive on the West side of Lake Tahoe, up to Truckee, down to Auburn before heading back South on 49. Hit the 500 miles and then some. What a beautiful day it was!

Great pics. I've been around Tahoe and know that spot where you took that pic. Beautiful. Love the old gas station with the Flying A sign.

You’re welcome, John. And there will be more coming as California says I need a smog check since I bought it out of state. Even though it was built for California standard emissions. Ughh!

capvettes, yes, the old gas station is in Truckee. Excellent seafood restaurant on the next street over to the South.

Thanks for the likes and kind comments, everyone!

I like the guy in the background on the bike eyeballing your car. I get that too, we drove to a scenic/historic town in our area recently, and despite Covid they were having some kind of a festival that day (Sunday). You would have thought a spaceship just landed in the middle of town. More "what is THAT" looks than I can count. What fun! (BTW, Chiefs fan here too)

2xUghh.... I’m in California and was assured by my out-of-state dealer that this would not be an issue because 1) they will check off the box when ordering my C8 so that it will be built for California emission standards and; 2) they have a dedicated registration person that will handles all registration matters. So - California DMV is telling you they still need a smog check even if it was built for Calif emissions standards because it’s from out of state? I can understand something like this for a used car, but a new vehicle?
