You’re welcome and thank you to FVS for having the ability to make this more realistic. According to Zerv02 both of our interior renders are way off still. But it’s very hard to make things right when we’re going off a drawing on a piece of paper that was quickly sketched. I wish zerv02 would be more detailed and specific on his depiction of the interior instead of just saying “no” or “close”

The last drawing by Zerv seems to show a single wide digital display, rather that two separate units as shown in the most recent render.

The most likely answer is that it's pretty much like the touch pad on today's laptop computers. Dragging your finger around it will move a cursor on the digital display, tapping it will execute some action, double tapping it will do something else. A touch pad located down on the console is easier to reach without stretching to reach the dash, and you don't get fingerprints all over the screen. So it probably won't be a display like you show in the render, just a plain black (or whatever color GM chooses) surface.

Acura has a version of this technology in the latest RDX:

Audi is using the technology in some of its cars. Apparently BMW, too:

The second drawing he did not label everything. in other Q&A he maintained this general design as far as I know...

Ahhh, so touch pad... not touch screen!

                more like this maybe?

Thanks. But as I’ve said before. This places elements and features in the general areas but the actual design should be much different and more attractive. Should be a very cool interior.

does anyone else get an uneasy feeling seeing Zerv spelled Forum "Forumn"? As well as the handwriting seems very highschooly. Maybe he is the kid of someone that works on the c8?

Anything's possible, but I note that a very large percentage of the online population can't spell worth a darn, and my handwriting and drawing skills are worse than Zerv's. And not only am I way past high school, my kids are way past high school.

Stealing from lambo by having the flip up switch to get to the push to start button.
