The problem is becoming that I will be disappointed if it _doesn't_ look like FVS's renderings ... they are great! Thanks for all the effort you put into this!

Fantastic work. But like all the renderings I've seen, it's based on a shape that may have hidden padding or other misdirection under the camo.

I agree. They are only a basic image of the car. There will no doubt be many surprises!

Amazing renders FVS!! would you be able to do change the daytime running lights to what you think "production style" could be?

seems like the renderings are getting colser and closer to the car and driver one from a while ago

Good points TOMDOM69. To me the Car and Driver rendering had credibility in many ways, and looking again at its scoop, it was pretty accurate.

But quickly within a few seconds of my looking at it closer when it was initially shown, its having a completely wrong, excessive hood height, it “lost me” then. I remember one clever, though snied, post talking about its bloated hood being the “golf course edition” because it was so high it could hold two golf bags.

Here was a spy picture for example, taken over a month before the C&D rendering, showing more accurately the hood’s height, even with its having still its double thick camo on the hood at that time.

In the center grille section the only part they don’t have camo on is the two little “air scoops” and you can clearly see the “honeycomb looking mesh there. But on your renders you always have those with no mesh. I don’t know what the center is going to look like but I’m betting that mesh is staying

The C&D rendering is still far too bulbous IMHO. Even with the possibility of extra padding under the camo, the front "hood" isn't nearly as high on the 'ring cars as in C&D's rendering. Nor are the fenders as tall or rounded as C&D's version, and C&D's grill is far bigger than on the test cars.

                        Nope, I'm not seeing it.

Fvs needs to freelance for Car & Driver mag. Their interpretation is how would I say not good and trying to be polite.

In fairness to C&D, they did their render long before we saw any cars without all the cladding. They didn't have the benefit of seeing the much less camo'd cars at the 'ring, and thousands of photographs of those cars. Considering when that render was created, it's remarkable how close it is to what we've seen more recently.

^^. Also as has been mentioned before, they may be required to not get it “too” accurate too soon.
