  • FVS New C8 Interior Rendering

Just received fvs’s 2020 mid engine, greatly-revised, interior rendering. Thank you Zerv02’s for providing your two sketches and for your providing explicit commentary over the past couple of months — in such detail so fvs could create the below render.

For those who missed fvs’ 1st ZORA interior render, here is our Oct. 7th thread with it — and consequent discussion.

If it looks close to this, I'll be happy! I'm already a fan of the C7 and this looks like the next evolutionary step toward a more driver focused cockpit! I personally would like to see the paddles attached to the steering wheel.

You have seen the interior makav? How is it different from this please? If you have not seen it, what would you want to be different?

I have not, but anyone can claim to have seen it. Anyone can draw something and claim it is the interior, that's the wonder of the internet. Seems to me the guy just took his favorite aspects of other interiors and put it in his drawing/description.

Thank you. You are not believing Zerv02’s sketches or posted comments — and if not, I can understand your comments fully.

With that said, I would be incredibly pleased if this were the interior.

Thank you makav! I really appreciate your explanation. I too am liking this interior overall, thought like some others’ earlier posts, having all those similar buttons in a row, could be a visual distraction, a real challenge while one is driving.

Hopefully, either as you earlier noted, that Zerv02 is not right in his description of that vertical row of buttons, or if he is correct but that GM has anticipated this and that they are in a different configuration other than straight up and down, and/or have different tactile feelings, and/or are otherwise distinguishable by feel (without our needing to take our eyes off the road to change this or that).

Do you think you could remember the different feel of twelve buttons, I’m not very confident I could.
There is a madness to my method!

I definitely prefer this over the previous one. Although like others have said.. It may look nice, but using those buttons while driving probably wouldn't be the best idea.

Overall though, I'd be happy to see something like this in the C8, but I agree with Makav. Time will tell if these sketches are accurate.

Wouldn’t this be a nice feature? A 3D dash coming in the new Lexus G70 (and you do not need to wear 3D glasses to see it, and if you do not like it, could choose to select a 2D view. Info and picture thanks to CarBuzz: https://carbuzz.com/news/genesis-g70...rument-cluster

And..., rumor be told, that this second fvs interior rendering could give way to a third one — thanks to Zerv02 providing specific feedback on it.

                          Stay tuned!

Just like fvs’s getting closer and closer on the exterior renderings, he is now zero’ing in to the interior.

He and I were joking, “could progressively better renderings from all, collectively result in GM considering this as to the timing of ME’s reveal?”

Not really sure how it would look but might be really cool.

Cool remdering and if this give us insight to the c8 inteior thats great.

i just want excellent supportive seats for hard cornering.

a nice d shaped steering wheel and large paddle shifters like my alfa romeo for the c8s dct im good.

                              thanks again..
