  • 1st Zora Interior Rendering

Here’s FVS’ first interior rendering. He told me that It was based on a conceptual sketch by Zerv02, Zerv02’s extensive detailed comments since, and a couple of spy pictures.

As always, fvs’ usual humble statement, that he expects the revealed interior to be better looking.

Going to take getting used to, such as it’s not having a vertical the shift lever sticking up from the center console. Looks like a faithful reproduction of Zerv02’s older sketch.
Enjoying my Shadow gray C8. What a car it is.

I agree. How will the gear selection actually work?

I have seen some where you step on the break and pull the right paddle to get in first gear. But the Ferrari video, an older one by the way, seemed to be overly complicated to just get the car going.

Will there be a full automatic mode? I assume so. But I have no idea

how do you shift the car from park to drive etc.?

I just watched a Ford GT driving video. Gear selection is with the knob as ZERV described. Not sure how I feel about that. Very disconcerting and unusual/new

        it’s a brave New World

Ummm looks like a morph of the C7, Mclaren and Lambo... nothing against FVS but to me looks too "dysfunctional" at this point. (and of course i stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night which automatically certifies me as a GM engineer .. )

When Zerv02 first noted the vertical row of controls going up the right hand side, several here commented that while driving, how would one be able to properly select which of those many controls you wanted. FVS reproduced what Zerv noted, but my opinion, FWIW, is that GM has this potential distracted driving issue figured out, and we will not see the buttons exactly like that.

              Ha!

The rendering tries to visualize ZERV02s eyewitness descriptions. As follows.
Carbon copy of the Ford GT wheel
Hurican start switch in a different color
              Daimler touch pad console
small switches/buttons in line on right side.
Modernized Corvette logo with Zora reference.
              Drive selector knob
              wraped center screen.

If the buttons/switches are for control settings and not on the fly adjustments it may be ok.

Well exactly my point.. not that your rendering isn't good as far as your interpretation, it just seems that the information you have here may not be very close to the real thing.

I agree. We have VERY little info. Only the ZERV sketch and description.

Hoping someone one in the know comments!

Remember our first or second ME exterior renderings, and how we had many concerns. Yet, the latest fvs one is inspiring many6 positives. We all noted that the C7’s interior was a far improvement over the C6’s. I am confident that the final, revealed, Zora Interior we will spellbinding. While Ryan Vaughan is no longer the head of Corvette Design (due to his promotion a few months ago), the interior of the ME was 100% done before he left. And Ryan’s design work was under the leadership of the amazing Ed Welburn; and, the 2020 ME was also 100% completed before Ed retired.

My feelings about the exterior of the 2020 Corvette’s design are: It will be amazing, i.e., we ain’t seen nothing yet!

Thanks for the render fvs! I also appreciate you sharing your resources and approach. It’s cool to have this to spur the imagination a bit more.

                          Nice job as usual.

I wanted to see the Ford GT steering wheel’s instruments close up since Zerv02 said it was very much like that. Of course it could well be somewhat changed.
