WRP SPD’s Journey Home Underway

We leave this morning in our now 40-mile-total Z06 on a L O N G way about 3,500 mile drive home to our PNW home. Our first event was attending a Corvette Club NCM event. We will be starting down the Natchez Trace parkway.

But one last Auto Armor upgrade via STEK visible carbon fiber (the 30th component of their enhancements)

Weather mode; weather mode…. Been heavy thunderstorms and massive lighting all night long, in fact the last 18 hours and more to go, . Thank you Meldoon for you well wishes.. We will be in safe mode today, so thankful we have PS4’s that with weather mode are together a safe combination. If we had Cup2 R’s today, we would be hanging out for quite a while until this massive storm, so far 18 hours, would have passed. We will use about 200 HP today and cornering at less than.5G max even though the car has so much more capability.

John, your ride looks awesome.

How do you keep it relatively clean on your way home? I trust you clean it yourself, but how do you do it on that very long journey?

I see no mudguards, have you installed temporary PPF?

Has 100% PPF, double in four special places including the front edge of the side intake scoops. Also has complete ceramic coating that has additionally been “boosted”. So at this point we drive it and enjoy it, not worry. It will get dirty, dusty, bug covered (has its three grille guards installed too).

For many months I and others have been scouring the world for splash guards (none out from anyone yet), and the very skilled Michael A Riley tried 4 special customized ones but the curvature was wrong for each, so the above will be its protection. Nicely, and of course will not release who is working on them, there are two major MECF vendors right now developing Z splash guards — but neither will be out for at least two months.

Perhaps not until we get home will it get its first bath, and with all those protections it will then look 99.9% identical to this when we hone special washed about 3,750 miles from now.
