1st Confirmed 5V5 Z06 visible carbon fiber spoiler

Thanks to Jim Lucas for sharing these pictures. Taller than the taller wickerbill version on the Z06, but the “nailing” clue that it is 5V5
is the wingtips on the end. $6K — and only available in visible carbon fiber.

6 Grand ?!?!?!?!?! For that? Really !?!?!?!?! In a couple months that will be offered by every good and respectable CF manufacture out there on the market for $1,200-$1,8000 estimated. I never understood GM's pricing on CF. Always 2x-3x more expensive than the non-oem market.. Even though they have to warranty it, it doesn't justify that inflated price.

I share your sentiment about perception of value and I too would not be a buyer-that being said, I think they priced it intelligently.
I think we should consider GM's pricing-not against what non-oem suppliers are willing to sell a similar part for, but what other manufacturers deem fit (and receive) for their CF parts i.e. Porsche and Ferrari

Saw the ZO6 5V5 wing yesterday. Looked good. My buddy had his 2nd Batch ZO6 delivery yesterday. It was in the showroom 42 days after the salesman submitted his 1100 spec to GM. Built on Friday the 6th of January and delivered one week later, Friday 13th of January. With the holiday and PDI happening last week, he waited until Saturday to take delivery. His wife used the remote to do the cold start in the showroom, it was pretty cool to see the startled looks from various customers and employees! It's his car and I won't post any pics until he does, but I liked his exposed 5V5. His spec, his money, and his wife loved the car.

My 1st Batch ZO6 is hanging in there at 3000 Status. Won't be long now; maybe by end of 2023, ha!

LOL.... true, but I took my C8 to a forum dealer, and they installed a CF after market high wing for $300. I'm sure they get less than that from GM to install it during PDI. Maybe $150? lol..

Yeah, it's much too understated for $6k. If I were a member of the 0.01% of wealth owners I might be tempted to get a pure carbon-fiber high wing with flashing LEDs ― like F1 rain lights ― to basically advertise "I have no taste, but I do have obscene money!".

Everyone is entitled to modify their car as they see fit. It's their money. However there is no law pf physics that says I can't laugh at them for ostentatiousness.

If it were made of PC like the parts from ACS, it would probably cost under $1k and might look cool.

I believe I was there with you guys when his car was delivered and I too liked the 5V5 spoiler. More importantly both he and his wife really liked it.
