  • cup 4 ZP's for z07 package cars

Did some checking yesterday to get ahead of the curve to get steetable tires for a z07 packaged car. An add was posted recently saying that fronts were available but none for the rear yet. A check of available inventory shows that there are 275 30 20 available (70 some) but they are not ZP tires. Nothing is available in the rear size, ZP or otherwise. Hopefully Michelin will recognize a need for these and produce some before we need them.

I talked to Lee Williard and Dr. Jeff at the Bash and they said that they are on track to have both front and rears available at the time the first customer Z06’s are delivered.
Z06 coming late this summer: Hypersonic Gray HTC, two tone blue interior, complete high wing/aero package. CCB’s, with every piece of visible carbon fiber available to us. Lifetime, annual contributors, and 24 year members of National Corvette Museum. Home is the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Great news. I'm on a list for them too... Now all we have to do is get some aftermarket wheels that we are sure will fit on the length stud we choose.

Here's a posting I made about a week ago on this Forum you may find interesting, to which John replied and pointed out that the MRR contact for MECF was Darren:

I've been recently emailing back and forth with Carlos (MRR Wheels in Los Angeles, from whom I purchased my aftermarket 2020 C8 Stingray rims) and asked whether MRR had any plans to make a rim which would fit on the longer OEM studs that GM will put on any Z06 with the carbon fiber rims. Carlos told me today that MRR could make a forged rim that would accept the "bulkier" OEM lugs and **with a thicker lug seat area**: "Basically if a customer with a Z06 would like to purchase any of our forged wheels then we will build for them with those specifications".

So it looks like there's another solution for those with the carbon fiber rims that want to have a set of aluminum rims to swap out with them: contact MRR and indicate you need aluminum rims that will work with the longer studs and they'll make a set "special order" for you.

I have no idea what, if any, extra cost might come with this. That wasn't part of my discussion with Carlos.

Something to consider; hope this helps.
