Thank you I am quite a bit better, but not getting frisky. Re-test on Saturday and hope for the best but there is some who rebound on their way past this disease (even after an initial positive re-test) so “optimistically cautious.” Thanks for the well wishes. It hits everyone different John. My first go around I lost 100% taste and smell for 10 days and then it reprogrammed what I do have. Most things are "normal" again, but to this day a green pepper tastes like gasoline smells to me now. I also had a one time ocular migraine and when I looked at the horizon it was like I was looking through pieces of broken glass. I could feel the inflammation in my lungs for over two months after I was back at work, but that's gone now. The second time I had a fever (didn't the first) and after a week was back to feeling fine. My wife has been suffering from extreme fatigue ever since her bout in January and is just now starting to feel better. I'm talking fatigue to the point of going on short term disability. I hope and pray for you that you can exit on the mild side and are back to normal as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your sincere good wishes. I appreciate them! So far it is progressively better but as I read today, relapses are not unheard off so I am taking it very slow and easy. In fact time for another nap.

John, sorry to hear you got Covid. I just saw this. My thoughts are with you for a speedy recovery. Unfortunately, almost everyone will get it whether you're vaccinated/boosted or not. I had a mild case last winter. We need you well and you have an early Z06 to look forward to!

Thank you very much. I am recovering nicely. I saw a few weeks ago that stat that a majority of Americans have already had it. But my being boosted fully and a lighter case are a nice combination choice for me. My wife too got it and she has been purely asymptomatic.

I am hoping to slowly resume outdoor life sometime this coming week, but seeing all the relapses I will again start again S L O W L Y!

Oh yea of little faith. What do you think the 300,000 street miles, the many race races run including LeMans, and the 24 hour continuous at full speed event on the track was…

Glad to hear you are feeling better John. Are you sure the C8.R has the same DCT transmission as the Z06? Typically the race cars use a sequential transmission with hydraulic paddle shift not a DCT. While they both have the flappy paddles the underlying design is very different.

Good point. You are completely correct the C8.R has a completely different, race trans than does the C8.

Yet as to the the 24 hours track work done in testing and according to Josh done several times over, that was done with the C8 Z06’s DCT. As was the testing at these tracks with the C8 Z06’s DCT.

Thanks John, just clarifying as that would've been amazing to have a DCT that is competing at that level. I'm sure the DCT will be fabulous in the Z06.
