  • LT2 Direct Injection or dual?

I suspect no one's heard anything about this yet, but I'd be interested in knowing whether the LT2 incorporates a similar dual Direct / Port injection to the LT5 engine to keep the intake valves clean.

Thanks. I followed the link on that page to the LT5, and it also just says "direct injection," so I guess we'll have to wait to find out for sure.

I would have thought it was both direct and port injection..

If you mean the LT5, it is. But the GM page about the LT5 doesn't mention that. If you mean the LT2, I hope it is.

I looked at the pics of the engine cut away and just couldn't be for sure. It kind of looks like a single direct injector though.

LT2 is direct injection (one per cylinder) like the LT1.

And how do you know that? GM's specs for the LT5 say only "Direct Injection," but we know it's actually dual port and direct. So the fact that the printed specs for the LT2 only say DI doesn't really prove anything.

Because there's only one fuel rail in the manifold in the cutaway and it doesn't spray into the port, is sprays behind it directly down into the cylinder. Look closely....
