  • C8 Custom Wheels

The folks at Vossen have already created some very good looking wheels for the C8. The factory wheels this first round are about the only thing anybody can take issue with.

Thanks John. I am sure there will be many more great choices from the wheel vendors of the MECF to show off very soon!

Thanks for the info 455SDguy! One issue I have with the OEM wheels is the way the front seems too "tucked" from some angles. If it was brought out closer to flush with a different offset (without fender rubbing of course) that would improve the C8's look in my opinion.

Still looking forward to hear / see how much adjustability the Z51 spring perches provide. Can they give a noticeable drop or are they just for corner weighting purposes? How low can it go without screwing up the MRC's shock travel range?

Thanks 455SDguy. It is certainly something to consider. I do like a few of the GM wheels and may just order stock ones to keep my Wheel allowance for later. I am really a stock guy with cars.

A familiar style, but better than the OEM IMO.

I don't see the Euro brands having this obsession with a new wheel for every model. Corvette already has some pretty nice wheels. The C8's are not an improvement.

I didn’t realize that Vossen has created these wheels specifically to fit the C8, rather that these were just renderings. Where can you purchase these?

The article I read with the Vossen wheels did not say where they are available yet. But I imagine that most of the MECF Vendors who sell wheels will offer these. As soon as I find more information I will share it here. Thanks Earl

I'm also a guy who prefers to keep it stock if at all possible, and I must say that I personally really like the 5-trident spoke machined face Spectra Gray wheel on several of the C8 colors. I also really like the look of the Performance pewter 5 spoke wheel on the Zeus Bronze car. I was, however, very disappointed that they dropped the wonderful wheel that I have on my 60th Anniv. 427 roadster, and on the new Grand Sports. I'm constantly getting positive comments on them and believe that's one of the best looking wheels I've ever seen.

Having said that, I certainly understand if neither of the new wheels 'float someone's boat'. When I bought my '15 Z51 Coupe I didn't like anything that was offered and had the dealer swap out the black wheels for some great looking TSW machined face wheels that I loved.
'64 Silver Grey Coupe (custom paint)- still our favorite
                  '13 White/Blue Diamond 427 60th roadster - favorite late model
                  Several others including two C7's

'20... Zeus Bronze Coupe, 2LT, GT2 seats, Natural two tone, Body color accents, Pewter wheels- 10/1/20😀 GAME CHANGER

Agreed, I’d prefer to purchase them before I have the vehicle so I can swap them right out. Really don’t like the GM options

Once we get some forum vendor options, I’m on it.

If anyone is feeling frisky, I wouldn't mind seeing a render of bronze TE37s on a black C8

The C8 has just been introduced and new wheels for them already? If I am lucky enough to buy a C8 by next summer, the wheels option from GM may not be the best looking but just owning the 2020 mid-engine will make me a happy man.

Well.... they have renders of new wheels.

We may know the basics like diameter and width, but I don't think GM has released all the other info critical to making a suitable aftermarket wheel, e.g. offset, bolt circle, etc.
