I just bought again from Paragon Perf this week so I am a devotee! But are all aware that if someone rear ends you and worse yet there are injuries in your Corvette or by passengers the car behind that ran into you, the very first thing a smart attorney for the other side is going to note your mod has diminished the minimum lumens required by NHTSA — and the only thing left is how much you are going to pay for the idiot behind you running into you even if you were stopped — possibly even requiring you to repair the idiot’s car. Also if confirmed by a judgement of the court, the next thing you could possibly face is your insurance company not paying on either your car damage or again worse yet a claim if you or anyone in your car suffered a medical injury.

Sorry the risk on this visual mod is not one I would personally consider. Not in our extremely litigious society.

The brake lights are not altered with this mod. And watch the video below. The lamps still are bright. I'm not worried.

I can't tell from the photo, but I have those too., in the smoke color, not as dark as the others, but it takes a little off the edge of the white looking lamps. Reasonably priced for sure.

I got those in black. My wheels are black ice and they look great on there. The little tiny Stingrays are hard to see though!!

I already had an unused set of black valve stem caps with a Chevrolet Bow Tie logo, I’m just using those.

Pretty sure the picture is the dark overlays, as I have on my C8. I first bought the red ones but didn't like them and Paragon graciously sent me a dark set at no cost. Here they are:

The brake lights and turn signal lights are one in the same. Have someone step on the brake pedal while you're behind the car and you'll see the brake lights are indeed altered. As for "still bright," all is relative. To really tell you'd need to compare one with the tint to one without in bright sunlight. Indoors and at night they're still plenty bright, but make sure they're still bright enough in worse case conditions. I once followed a C7 with tinted brake lights around the Beltway, and even looking for them the brake lights seemed very dim. If a buyer isn't paying attention, I'm not sure they would have realized the brake lights came on.

My favorite mod, without a doubt, is the Soler throttle controller.

As far as valve caps, I got a set off of Amazon or ebay (don't remember) with a hex shape and the C8 flag logo on them. These kinds of products seem to come and go. A seller buys a batch of them, and when they're gone they're gone. So if you find something you like, don't assume they'll still be available in a month when you make up your mind.
