  • Full Gloss Black Wheels Added to E-Ray Visualizer

    via CorvetteBlogger.com

New wheel design added to the 2024 Corvette E-Ray Visualizer. We've been waiting for Satin Black with Blue Stripe, but now there is another flavor showing and it's called Full Gloss Black.

I have to see the car with all the factory in person to decide.

I’m sure they are all great looking.

Thank you CorvetteBlogger. I did not like the wheels that day in December when we on MECF broke the news of the E-Ray visualizer leak, but they sure have grown on me — to the point I actively like them now. Funny how taste changes/evolve at times. Still a second choice for me to the visual carbon fiber ones, but hey, E-Ray owners can get those identical wheels too.

Agreed J.B., nothing beats the in-person. Surely my dad will go for these since he'll get Amplify Orange. His current vette is the Z06 in my profile pic, Sebring Orange w/ gloss black. As for me, still torn between nickel and now these. Chances are I'll be going Riptide Blue, so both will look great. Decisions, decisions...

My suggestion to my friends: Order the no-cost wheel and for $500 have them powder coated to your liking. They'll be exactly what you want (not just something you can tolerate) and very likely 100% unique. Very little downside to this approach.

That makes sense to me....I personally cannot stand black wheels.....I am shopping for a C5/6 Z and if they have black wheels the very first thing I will do is have them painted or powder coated. ......probably costing about $500 each.....I have no problem with my stock wheels....

Are the black wheel choice more expensive, based on the other visualizes with pricing?

With the carbon ceramic brakes and regenerative braking I might choose a non black rim as it looks really good in many of the promotional videos and brake dust shouldn’t be as big an issue. . Then again I like the black wheels with the polished lip too. photographing all black rims is hard for many people as the wheel well hides the wheel and tire completely in many shots. Real life tends to show the all black wheel better.

I think seeing the car in person is the best way to decide.
