I thought that we should have an E-Ray specific set of questions for the NCM Bash. Please feel free to add to the list.

The ones that I have so far are:
    • What voltage are the high voltage systems rated at?
    • What type of chemistry does the battery have?
    • Other than weight reduction, why are the CCBs required?
    • What options, if any, are there for those E-Ray owners who want to track their car, but find the CCB cost prohibitive in doing so?
    • If the battery state-of-charge was enough, why cant the E-Ray run on multiple Stealth sessions during start/stop occasions?
That's my top 5 so far. Again, please feel free to add your questions to the list if you like.

We create a thread like this every year. Please two caveats to this thread.

    1) The best way to get your questions answered would to be a the Bash and ask your questions 1 to 1. We have over 75 MECF members at last years event (our thread I think went over 20 pages), as every one there got to ask their own questions to the 43 GM Corvette members who were present last year — and those 43 Corvette specialists were readily available to all.

Last year was majorly, but not exclusively Z06 focused; this year of course will be majorly but not nearly exclusively E-Ray focused, e..g, pretty sure that once again GM will bring Stingrays, Z06’s and the birdies are already talking about some team members bringing their CTF E-rays.

Following up on this, in the public seminar Q&A sessions afterwards, and please picture hundreds in the audience and typically the seminaries are at the end time-limited, so at absolute most in the sessions, one person could get in two questions. Why I say, “please be there and ask your own 1 to 1 questions.”

    2) GM will answer questions about current-available product, so with the Order Guide coming soon we think, that will assist us to learn, but all questions about future changes (adding in new options for following model years, or the reverse of taking about taking-away current components in future models), will consistently be not answered by Corvette team members, or answered with the standard seven word response, “we do not talk about potential future product.” So please do not waste your time and theirs and even hint about the ZR1, nor about colors for 2025, etc. Thank you.

When is the LT2 being replaced and will it be a 4 valve engine?

When are we getting a turbo V8 and at what price point?

Will the Stingray receive the new front suspension and crossbrace from the ERAY and is there any other improvements from the ZO6 and ERAY that are being shared with the 2024 STINGRAY.

Is the rear view camera included on all Corvettes for 2024, and what new features are standard equipment?

      Any other changes, improvements?

      Price increases?

I'll probably ask Tadge & Co myself like I usually do, but I would get started with the above.

The Bash is almost always (except for when a new generation is coming on that year), the time when the Corvette team shares the new model year changes. I expect the same this year, that we will hear in one of the Corvette team seminars the 2024 changes. Also historically, it is often the time when the pricing for the new model year models is announced.

Hopefully 5 mph to 60 mph comparisons between the Eray, stingray and z06 will be presented?

          30 to 50
          50 to 70

would be interesting data as well

            Okay, here is mine:

With start/stop how long will the engine stay off?
Many people complain about start/stop, have you done anything different to address the complaints?
Are you able to use the electric motor to make it more seamless?
If you are in stealth mode and you exceed 45 mph for a few seconds does it permanently kick it out of stealth mode?
If you are in traffic @ low speed can you put it back in stealth mode?
When the engine is off from start/stop can you put it back in stealth mode?
Can you set stealth mode as your default mode?
Why do you have a data gauge that says "Fuel Saved"? Do you expect to be able to show meaningful full saved?
What are the new parameters for ACM, it appears that will be more aggressive because of the assistance of the electric motor?
Why did you choose such a small 1.9 kWh battery? If they include weight in the answer, ask them exactly how much does the 1.9 kWh battery weigh?
If they say space, ask exactly what are the dimensions of the 1.9 kWh battery?
Understanding the focus was performance, was their any consideration for mileage? If so, what was included to benefit mileage?
It seems all the new sport cars coming out are PHEV's, will GM be coming out with a PHEV Corvette?

Hopefully, someone can ask these questions.

Thanks for adding to the list.

As far as the battery goes, Aaron Link told Austin (Speed Phenom) that there was no more room in the tunnel.

The Ultium motors package their inverter and power electronics integral with the motor. The E-Ray has the power electronics and inverter forward of those 80 battery cells in the tunnel. I would imagine there is a battery heater in there as well.

⬆⬆⬆⬆⬆⬆⬆⬆⬆⬆ This right here. I think ALOT of people are looking for this answer. Shoot we might get it before the bash. The straight pipes YT video said the engineers told them that when the engine is running, you cannot put it in to stealth mode (and I understand that and it makes senae), so that answers one of your questions msm859. BUT if the engine is off because of start/stop, can you put it in to stealth mode. Seems so logical that they would make it like that.

And yes I also like your other question, "Can you set it to default to always start in stealth mode?" I know I sure would do that. I.e, get into the car, and press the start button once, and boom you are in stealth mode. Or press it twice to start the ICE.

And unless we get an answer before the bash, my nagging question is, does the SR and ER share the exact same exhaust and rear lower bumper. (i.e. same connection points, hooks, etc...) i.e. completely interchangeable.

                  Umm.. mine would be :

                  1) more info on the shuttle mode.. max speed is 15 mph and it will not allow the motor to turn on at all, but whats the distance?

                  2) Why does the TQ readings on both EV and motor never reach the tq they are suppose too? How is it reading and calculating that info.?

                  3) whats the weight of the E-ray 5 spoke ?

                  4) Is the 0-60 / 1/4 mile times on the reg AS tires or on the summer tires? It looks like they mention the amount of G's and then bring up * with summer tires. I want to know the stats with summer and CF rims also.

                  5) Will there be issues if people put simple mods like intake, exhaust, hf cats, headers without touching the ECU?

                  6) How can we implement crab walk like the Hummer? 😁

msm859 BuyPeaksSellDips I can already answer the three questions.

If you are in stealth mode and you exceed 45 mph for a few seconds does it permanently kick it out of stealth mode?
If you are in traffic @ low speed can you put it back in stealth mode?
When the engine is off from start/stop can you put it back in stealth mode?

The answer to all three is no. The YouTube channel Cruise Control had Harlan Charles on this morning for a live Q&A and they answered a few questions in the live chat. I asked if the E-Ray can be put back into stealth mode under any condition after its exited said mode. Harlan said the ONLY way to get back into stealth mode is to completely turn the car off and re-start it.

That is very very very disappointing, and a huge let down truthfully. I think Corvette totally missed the boat on that one. Yes I understand that the battery is for performance, and not economy, but take what you can get thats already there.. Geeze. I can guarantee you if I am in a city/around town situation, and I know for the next mile or two, there is going to be a bunch a traffic lights, and stop/go, when I come to a stop at that first light, the car is getting turned off. Then put into stealth mode. There better be a good explanation from them on this, because to me that decision is a fail.

I still want to know if the front lift will be available for the Eray. I haven't seen it on the configurator nor in any of the material I have read so far. Is the electric motor in the same area the front lift is for other C8 variants?
