You can cut the tension with a knife! Very exciting time for you! Thanks for sharing! 👍
            I’m goin’ driving 👍

            • #81
Talk about tension.....arrival has been delayed by 2 days due to port congestion. So 3 more sleeps instead of 1. But at least tomorrow arvo I'll be able to see her anchored just off the coast. Once I lay eyes on the ship then I'll know it's real

              • #82
Sooooo, 1,138 days since paying our deposit.....and 76 days since she rolled off the production line at BGA......and 54 days since she boarded the Theben car carrier for her journey Down Under....our baby has arrived at her new home of Fremantle Western Australia It'll probably be between 1-3 weeks before she makes it through the customs/import process and into the hands of her proud parents ....... so there's a bit more of this story left.....stay tuned

Congratulations! She is on dry land! What a journey! Finally you can breathe a sigh of relief! She looks to be in good company…….what is that next to her? McLaren ? 650S maybe?

It must be super exciting to see her come off the ship after such a long journey. Soon you'll be able to drive her up and down the beautiful coastal highways. I've been to Perth once about 14 yrs ago and it was very pretty.

Wow! Although your story is not unlike others waiting for their C8, however yours has lent itself to an extra amount of suspense and curiosity mate. I’d be sleeping with my eyes wide open, until it’s parked on my driveway lol, and then even more so lol. Absolutely incredible! Before you know it, you’ll be posting stories of your “spirited driving”.

As an aside for our friends “down under”…while at the Sturgis, SD MC Rally, my wife, father-in-law and I were parked under a road sign for the South Dakota State line for a photo op. On that day, it was 117 degrees and we were soaking wet in sweat. I was wearing my “favorite” local HD Dealer tshirt and an Aussie pulled along side and asked if we minded if he and his wife took some photos, of course we obliged them. After exchanging greetings with one another, the good mate inquired about my tshirt, said he loved the artwork and was a screen printer at home, and wanted to exchange the tshirts…his for mine. I said sure why not, so,I took off my sweaty HD shirt, he took off his sweaty tshirt and we exchanged shirts right there on the side of the road. It was a great motorcycling experience, and even better memory😃

That's exciting! And very cool that you got to go see it. I hope it has a speedy trip through customs and you're out driving it soon.

This has been a truly amazing story to follow. I live in my little sheltered corner of the big world and without the stories like this one I'd have no perspective of how differently many people experience it.
Congratulations by the way even if you still have 1 - 3 weeks to wait!

Yep definitely a McLarren but not sure what model. Interesting it wasn't tansported with protection.......GM do a terrific job protecting our babies.
